Miniature Orchid: Haraella retrocalla with Flower Spike, Mounted, Adult Size

I had ordered two of these orchids and one arrived that was really beautiful and I gave it to a friend who has helped me with numerous things. The second orchid was missing but the owner of this item was extremely kind and sent the other one to me in a day or two. This plant is also very nice, very green and growing and I am so happy to have it. I might, one day, attach it to a mounted staghorn fern board. The plants were in very good condition, very healthy and add quite a lot to my plant collection of assorted plants. If you love orchids, you will really enjoy this one.

These are the cutest mini orchids ever. I ordered four, and they all arrived in excellent condition with very secure packaging. I was a bit skeptical about ordering them online, but I am really impressed with the quality and how healthy they are. I added a small metal hook and a label on the back to help identify each one. I would definitely purchase more in the future!

this never did thrive. when it came it had some pretty leaves but only a couple of roots but i thought i could get it to sprout some and it did ~ had a couple of roots sprout and then shrivel up. i have a hundred orchids in my home so i know how to take care of them. this one never started new leaves. it tried really hard to start a couple of roots again for the second time and they just shriveled up. i am down to a half of ONE last green leaf so i dont think its going to make it especially since it has no roots ;( i really wanted this little miniature. such a shame! also i just realized in the description that it says "with flower spike" NOT TRUE!! there was absolutely no flower spike!

Great mini orchid. Grows great with bright light and high humidity. It keeps blooming over and over.

Probably should have looked at review photos before ordering, as the image showing how it’s mounted was the main reason I chose this one. I loves the cork bark look, but it came on a tiny piece of plain plywood. Although I am unhappy with the mount, I am happy with the plants overall health. It has nice beautiful foliage and roots. It came with one yellow leaf that has since fell off, but that’s to be expected when it is over 100° outside and it’s packaged for a week in transit. Even with the high temperatures and travel it was still slightly moist upon arrival. Value for money spent, it’s okay. It would have been better if this was cheaper because of the wood used. I would have been much happier with a nicer mount for the price. Hopefully, this tiny beauty will put on growth for me and make beautiful flowers. The first photo is right when it arrived, the second is today.

The first Orchid I received was not in great shape. I didn't think it had a flower spike on it (as advertised!) so I contacted customer service and sent them a picture. As it turns out, there actually was a flower spike. They send me a very nice email response and pointed out the flower spike. This being said, the plant itself was not is good shape, it was dehydrated and looked like it would lose most of its leaves. Customer service offered (without any prompting from me) to send me a new plant free of charge. The new plant arrived today and it's in great shape. I am very happy with this vendor and will buy from them again. Keep in mind that these are miniature orchids! The plants are very small and the flower spikes are difficult to see until they mature and start to bloom.

This is very very small orchid. And apparently, extremely sensitive to less than perfect humidity conditions. Mine was healthy enough when it arrived, nicely packaged (did I mention that it was small?) but it started withering even though I cared for it as instructed. I even placed it into a makeshift terrarium hoping to reverse the wilting trend. I’m still debating when to give up and toss it out. Disappointed. I gave two stars rather than one because of how well it was prepared for shipping.

Nice healthy specimen. Good size for a miniature, and it shipped quickly. However it was mounted on plywood? So the image needs to be updated. I would call that false advertising. 5/5 health 4/5 value 2/5 mounting (looks pretty shoddy and the wire is visible)
