Komelon 4912IM The Professional 12-Foot Inch/Metric Scale Power Tape, Yellow

Since the US is still archaic with measurement standards, it's still necessary for me to include the antique inches/feet measurements when I want to measure all my own projects (and from international blueprints) in much more sane metric standards. This Komelon is cheap and durable and gets the job done, providing excellent value. It isn't crazy compact, but it's not unwieldly either, with all the basic features most measuring tapes now come with.

I own 6 of these. They're my absolute favorite workshop measuring tape. Light but sturdy and small enough to fit well in my pocket or not take up too much room in my bag. And having imperial and metric on it is fantastic as well.

On first inspection, seems great! Inexpensive yet gives the impression that it is well made. Tape is stiff, lock works well. Metric and English measurements which is why I got it. Decent price. We'll see if it holds up.

I recently got my hands on a 12-foot tape measure, and overall, it's been quite convenient and practical. Its lightweight design makes it easy to handle, and I've used it for all sorts of tasks around the house. However, I can't give it a perfect score mainly due to a little issue with the measuring lock. Even though I can lock in the measurement with the button, I've noticed it's a bit finicky. Sometimes it decides to close on its own, making it tricky to maintain a steady measurement, especially when I'm in the middle of a task. Just a small hiccup that could use improvement! Despite that, the tape measure does its main job of giving us measurements, and that's what matters. The construction seems sturdy, and so far, it's been a great help in my DIY projects. All in all, while it has that little quirk with the lock, it remains a handy tool for everyday DIY tasks.

I have used these for many years and keep going back for more. There is nothing amazing about the design, I just like having both inches and centimeters on the same measuring tape. And the price is reasonable.

My first Komelon product and it’s made me a big fan. This is perfect for woodworking and its convenient size lets me take it with me when shopping for materials. I also very much like the visibility of the bright yellow case and the easy to read metric and imperial measurements.

Just what I needed.

I bought this little guy to keep nearby, and it’s been a great everyday tool. The smooth design feels good in the hand, and having both metric and SAE makes it really versatile. The only thing I’d change is adding rubber bumpers on the edges for a bit more protection. Still a solid, handy tape measure.

It’s good, same as in the picture. Recommended.

This came from amazon.com and it was shipped to the UK and therefore I thought I thought it was American made. I clearly didn't look closely enough because if I'd known it was made in China then I never would have bought it!

I've used many a tape measure in my time. Learning to appreciate the smaller ones like this 12-foot specimen. Does 90% of what I need and it's light as a feather. The coating on the metal tape makes for smooth action and the case is nicely put together. It has a good quality feel. I bought one for the office and then bought another for home once I found out how nice it was. A bargain.
