Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer Makeup, Clear, 1 Count

I absolutely love this! I have used so many that were not helping. I have very big pores! AGHHHHHHH! I tried so many of the big name make up companies and paid a lot of money to always be let down. I really had decided that either it was hopeless or I was going about this all wrong! I wish I could remember how I came across this but I do remember when I saw the price, I said, "it's worth a shot!" When I first put it on I was like yeahhhhh! It's working! But then I said perhaps its all in my head! So I did a test! I put half on one side and compared! Then just to be sure I did it again the next day and asked my girlfriend which side looked smoother. She said definitely that one (the side with this one)! Since I have been using it I now get many compliments on my face! If you read my reviews I am not one to exaggerate. Due to some acne when I was young there are just some spots this does not hide completely. This is not a miracle cure fix all. I just wanted a smoother looking face and this did the trick much better than anything I have tried. My foundation and powder now looks so smooth. Those days of being so jealous of the other girls who had that smooth look are over. I have read many in the reviews who said it was greasy feeling. In a way I understand what they are describing. I have very oily skin ( I guess that why I have such huge pores). But this does not feel greasy or oily at all to me. The best way I can describe it is like vaseline and I hate to say that because it is not like vaseline but as close as I can describe. I have found with make up the best way to do this so it does not clump up the foundation is to first clean your face real well then put it on. I make up my bed and feed my pets to let it dry so to speak. After that it will hold make up pretty good. I put my foundation and concealer and eye shadow on top of it! My eye shadow is paint on and it does not do well with this so I am going to try to some powder eye shadow that will work with this. (anyone got any suggestions-using a yellow and pink that is not very expensive?) But really this has dramatically improved my face and I am so very happy! I was worried this would make me breakout as I have extremely sensitive skin. It did not, thankfully. I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised by how smooth and even it made my skin look without making it look matte, which I don't like as it accentuates winkles in my 60 year old skin. I don't wear much, if any, makeup most days but wanted to even-out my skin tone so I gave this a try and it did just that! Even my mostly oblivious husband noticed my skin and said it looked smooth, even and glowing. Pretty good for something that is not a foundation. I was impressed.

I’m a 39-year-old grandma (yes, that’s real) with a disabled vet body and a face that’s basically a scrapbook of bad decisions and genetics. Massive pores, fine lines, wrinkles, sunspots, chicken pox scars—you name it. If skin could qualify as a “fixer-upper,” mine would be listed as “great potential, needs full renovation.” The feel: This primer surprised me. It’s smooth, dry, and powdery—like cornstarch, baby powder, or one of those mythical moisturizers that doesn’t leave you looking like you fell asleep in a pizza box. It doesn’t suffocate your skin, and that’s a win. The look: The clear formula is a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, there are no harsh lines if you miss a spot—so you won’t walk around looking like your face stopped at the border of your jawline. On the downside, maybe it’s because it’s clear that it doesn’t quite bulldoze my pores the way I’d like. Performance: It’s good—better than plenty I’ve tried—but if I’m honest, Rimmel’s Stay Matte still holds the crown for me. That one grips harder and makes my skin behave longer. This one smooths things, but doesn’t quite convince me I’m not 39 going on “grandma tired.” The value: Price-wise, it’s great. Totally fair for what it does. My gripe? The tube is too small. I need a size that screams “bulk warehouse,” not “tiny purse sample.” Bottom line: Great for makeup… terrible at covering regret, trauma, and three decades of questionable life choices. 4 stars.

I bought both Maybelline Babyskin and Elf Luminous Putty Primer together so I could do a comparison. In the photos, my right cheek has Babyskin, the left cheek has Elf. In the two photos with both cheeks, one is primers only and the other has foundation over the primers (MAC Studiofix Radiance). Baby skin does what it says. It's going to. It even smoothed over a very rough texture patch that I have over dark pigmentation on my right cheek. I can't feel the roughness. I would definitely apply it over my moisturizer and use it alone and then apply my tinted sunscreen or apply a foundation over it? If I want that matte look. It definitely floats the foundation More than just moisturizers alone, which it badly needs. The only thing I have under the foundation is the Baby Skin on the right cheek and Elf on the left cheek. I "skin flood" — usually apply four serums, moisturizers and a tinted sunscreen — before I put out on Foundation. These photos don't show those layers. I only wanted to test the primers. I'll let you be the judge on Elf versus Baby Skin. I reviewed Elf separately. However, I think both of these are great for different uses. I would have no problem wearing Baby Skin alone or wearing it under Foundation for a matte effect. I also tried Bobby Brown primer and Smashbox primer for mature skin. Both were expensive and work more like moisturizers. Maybelline Babyskin and Elf putty are great and cheap! Elf update 4/11/24. After I had it on for an hour or two, my skin on that cheek started to feel like they were raised bumps. I looked at it and there were raised bumps. I washed it off and definitely irritated my skin and caused some sort of reaction. I added a picture. Baby skin is still working fine.

Love this, Its better than the more expensive ones I have tried for my skin. Makeup goes on smooth and my large pores look smaller!

Cumple totalmente con ocultar los poros, es ligero y el maquillaje se ve como porcelana. Yo tengo el cutis seco. Me funciona perfecto. No reseca mi piel y no me provoca alergias o rechazo. Honestamente lo recomiendo. Además dura mucho!

Kaschiert die Poren und Unebenheiten gut. Das Produkt ist sehr ergiebig. Benutze seit Jahren , habe schon 3.Mal gekauft.
