Worth every penny. Quiet. Strong. Efficient
I am an hobbiest mechanic. I have 3 jeeps I maintain and a car. I do gear instals and suspension builds on the side, occasionally.Have been using/struggling with an old Handed-down CH impact for years. It finally gave up the ghost. I bit the bullet and spent a little extra on this impact. I used for the 1st time today to change over four 8 lug rimmed tires. I swear I thought it was broken at 1st because it barely makes any noise and sure seems like it is barely working. That was furthest from the trurh. With my old impact I would have to break the lug's loose 1st with my four-way lug wrench. Then the impact could move the next. When installing notes I used to have to check all of them afterwards it makes for there were tight enough come out by hand.Did a test on how tight it gets the lugs; on number 3 out of 4 it gets lugs as tight or tighter than I can get with my 4 way wheel lug wrench.Pretty sure this thing will last me the rest of my life. Very happy where the purchase. As an added bonus, I tested out Its efficiency by using the onboard air compressor system in my Jeep.. With my old impact, this was pointless; I wouldn't power the gun. With this new gun, it works as well as when it's hooked up to my shop compressor. This impact is super powerful and super efficient at the same time!

Good quality product
Best impact wrench and more powerful than I’ve ever used

Small but powerful
For your typical passenger cars and light trucks automotive use, the 2235timax has more than enough power to do most jobs. For its size, the impact gun is pretty light and doesn't feel any heavier than my ingersol 2135qt. In terms of noise level. It is not much louder than your typical air guns that doesnt have some kind of sound suppression system. In comparison to a coworkers Nitrocat 1200k, this impact gun definitely has more power than the nitrocat as his impact would take much longer to remove lug nuts. This video demonstrates this impact guns ability to remove a 33mm lug nut off of the rear end dually wheels of a heavy duty truck. The impact gun seem to struggle a bit on some lug nuts but much of the blame can be placed on 1/2" to 3/4" adapter as well as the operator using only one hand to removed the lug nut. Using a direct 1/2" socket without an adapter and applying both hands on the air gun will definitely decrease the overall length of time to remove each lug nut. All in all I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase since this tool can perform the job that is needed. If you need an impact gun in small package with lots of power, the ingersol rand 2235timax might be that tool.

The Real Deal
This is just like my old Ingersoll Rand IMPAQ gun that lasted for 10 or 15 years. I only used this new IMPAQ once so far, but pound for pound it's stout as a bore piss aunt. It's the real deal. The only thing I can say bad about it, the forward and reverse buttons are real hard to push. But it's new and not broken in yet.

Adequate power for prosumer.
I bought the 2235TiMAX 1/2” for home shop use, not professional use. One of the tasks it has made much easier is removing an axle nut using a 60mm 3/4" drive socket on a KTM Superduke 1290 R that has a single sided swing arm. The axle nut has thin 1/4" wide flats and the specified torque is 150 ft/lbs. Prior to this purchase I had to use a meter long breaker bar with one foot placed on the rear brake, while facing rearwards and pushing on the breaker bar. The 2235TiMAX took literally a half second to loosen the axle nut and never got anywhere close to the max 300 rpm before the nut was spun loose. Some reviewers have mentioned the hog ring retainer on the anvil as making it difficult to either put attachments on or take them off, and the hog ring itself becoming loose and falling off. I agree, this isn't something I'd like if I was changing sockets sizes often. There are two models that Ingersoll-Rand sells in the 2235TiMAX 1/2'" drive series that have a pin retainer anvil, instead of a hog ring anvil. The models are the 2235PTiMAX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QRFYXD/ref=emc_b_5_i and the Quiet version, 2235QPTIMAX https://www.amazon.com/Ingersoll-Rand-2235QPTIMAX-Nut-busting-Hammercase/dp/B08KT7L2G7In my opinion those models would be better for professional use and if I had known about those models prior to my purchase I would have probably paid the extra $$. I'm impressed with the torque, build quality seems ok, but I cannot comment on durability as I haven't used it much.

Best brand for your money.
5 years going strong.

This 1/2 impact gun is a animal compared to the brand guns.
Have been a automotive mechanic for over 20 years, have used several brand names 1/2 air impact guns over my time, i.e. Mac tools, Snap on, Chicago pneumatics, etc and this gun blow them all out of the water hands down, the power, torque, the perfect grip handle, even the vibration in each hammer barely moves your wrists and elbows, nothing compared to the other brands name guns, Still have my first IR 1/2 impact gun it's over 18 years used mainly for front end, suspension and engine work because it's very light, smaller, but low on torque only 900ft lbs ish, break away torque, never rebuilt other than 2 triggers, oiled daily and used with a air line dryer, still out performs all the other brands. Im not being paid to recommend this gun by IR it's just a really good gun for daily rigorous automotive repair use. Thoroughly impressed IR, hoping to get another 18 years out of this gun. Good price for a good gun. Thanks IR

Reconditioned maybe??
Brought this item, took it out of the packet and was scratched, oiled up and started to use it and kept locking out, maybe just a faulty gun who knows

Excelente producto
En comparación con otras pistolas de impacto de 1/2 es mucho más fuerte para aflojar y apretar tuercas y algo extra es liviana

Fantastic impact gun
It’s well worth the money. Ingersoll Rand is amazing when it comes to air tools. This thing can take years of abuse and still hold up as strong as it did day one. I had gone through so many impact guns before this one.Update: this gun is still totally baller. Best tool purchase I’ve ever made

Amazing power.
This is a great product it will do anything you want it to on your car. I've known auto mechanics who swear by this. I work as a diesel mechanic and it can match and in allot of cases it perform my coworkers impacts. This has more power than you will get from a snap on impact, or any other tool truck. The only thing I've seen it perform this is the 3/4 drive impacts that the shop has. So for a price that is better than what snap on sells and more power with an equal warranty it's really a no brainer. (Snap on has gotten rid of allot of there lifetime warrantys so there now pretty comfortable for warranty.) my only wish is that it came with a boot as just like with any other impact of you use it as daily it gets quite tough looking from putting on the concrete floor repeatedly
