Bought this for my friend. He loves it very much and would like me to past his review as follows: “I would recommend this reel. So far so good! First of all, if you have not heard of linewinder reel,i would say no need worry about it, Linewinder makes an awesome reel.The fist time i opened the box, i was attracted by the stylish and metallic design with black and golden color which can match any rods. It has incredibly smooth bearing and one way non-stop antiverse switch. i fished using the reel most of the day and very impressed with ultra light weight, for long time fishing, i felt very less fatigue maybe becasue it has a super light weight carbon fiber rotor and magnesium alloy body. it's very light for the size, the quality seems to be spectacular, and the drag seems to be butter smooth.it seems the linewinder is doing it right by listening to the customers, bulid a very good and realiable product at a reasonable price. They are giving one year warranty with good customer service. All in ALL, i love it.”

I bought the Golden Fish II for my son's birthday. This real is amazing for this price.Smooth and strong. My son used it for the first time he reeled in 2 monster bull Red Fish.no complaints about this reel. Probably still going to order another one for him.

killer Reel!
The black/gold color combo with lovely shark and wolf icon looks professional. With9+1 ball- bearing and a 5.2:1 ratio, round-shaped magnesium alloy body, carbon fiber rotor, these specs would cost over$100 in another brand and this reelperformed like a &100+ reel!

Srange design but works well.
Kind of unusual design. Works great except for the handle.. A bit large for my taste. My Dremel tool took care of that problem.I year later..still working OK. Some noise when reeling in and the handle is getting loose. can't figure out how to tighten. Will have to stop using it soon. Would not buy again..

I have 15 or more reels and most of them are good however they are not the best. Personally I found the best today! This reel is awesome. I wish I could trade all my reels in for these!

TRY ONE
Reel was stiff. Had to take apart & lube. A different look but nice. Round body, large knob OK. Holds adequate amount of 8lb line. Bail has a different feel when opening but otherwise seems to open/close OK.

"Fantaic reel"
Brought reel for best friend. He had raved about the same reel his brother had gotten for his birthday. They are twins. Through it would be a great idea to surprise him with one. The reel was a steal at such a great price. The upgraded magnesium alloy body gives it a ultra light Handel and a superior feel to it. Im sure he will enjoy his gift.
