These are counterfeit or quality at Gargoyles has gone very bad
First of all, I have had Gargoyles before so I am familiar with their quality. These are so poorly manufacturers they can only be counterfeit or the quality at Gargoyles has gone beyond bad.The lenses are not polished on the edges are they appear on the Gargoyle website and there is an obvious flash remaining from the molding. The lens edge is so sharp it could cut you if you were to run them across your skin. I can only imagine hat would happen if they got pushed back from an impact, even slight. Then, the nose bridge doesn't even fit together (it is a front and rear piece) and it sticks out and its the first thing that touches you between the eyes, it is so clearly just haphazardly produced. If you've never had Gargoyles before this might seem okay but sorry to say, these do not appear genuine. The finishing is horrible and the fit is also not as you'd expect from Garolyle. These are going back, something isn't right with them.

Terminator 1 Sunglasses
Yes yes they aren't made in the US anymore. I bought these for fashion purposes and not any tactical or shooting purposes. I can't comment on that aspect. However, for my needs they are great. The quality feels solid. The sunglasses are comfortable when worn, and I am able to see properly. They are somewhat large glasses so keep that in mind if you have a smaller sized face.My only complaint is the logo placement. Between the lenses is an awful distraction that I do not like. If it were the same color as the plastic piece that would be fine. Since it is a silver/gold color it stands out. I fixed this by getting a back permanent marker and coloring over it. It isn't the best fix, but hey it did the job. There are Classic 85's available which are 15% smaller than the ANSI Classics if I am not mistaken. Other brands such as Oakley and RayBan dominate the sunglass market, so why not stand out and get some awesome Gargoyles Classics? I recommend these sunglasses. 5/5

Time Honored Product
I purchased this product because I owned a pair back in the early 1990's as they were popular with our troops during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. The design does keep most of the sunlight, dust and sand out of your eyes. The price has not gone up substantially since the pair I bought originally but there have been some technological improvements made. One warning, however. They are not sand/dust proof with regard to surface scratching so treat them carefully and clean them often and carefully in that type of environment.

Cool shades.
Man, these things are awesome. They're more huge than i expected. But that's fine with me. The mirror effect on the outside of the lenses is very through. If i put them on and then look at myself in a mirror, it reminds me of the cop shades that Cartman wore when he was deputized and began patrolling around town on his bigwheel, busting speeders and breaking up domestic disturbances. If your wife needs to check her makeup, all she has to do is just look at her reflection by glancing at you while you're warning these sunglasses. I chose the blue lense color, and i think they look great. My only complaint is that the cheap plastic arms which go alongside your face and rests above your ears are not really comfortable for me at all. But hopefully i can find some skinny silicone sleeves to slide them into, which would make these very comfortable.A note for those trying to decide between these Gargoyles Classics and the Gargoyles 85s: Unless you have a very large head/face, you'll probably be happier with the 85s. Legend has it that Arnold wore these Classics in his original Terminator movie, and that he has a pretty big head and face. So the legend goes that Gargoyles started making the 85s motel as a product merely 85% of the size of the original Classics (Terminator shades), for people who want that same signature style but in a smaller size.In short, these Classics can look downright enormous on you if you have a small or medium face. Personally, my head and face are in the medium/average realm, so they just look somewhat over-sized on me, but not comically-so. I already knew that 85s fit me perfectly, because i tried on a pair of them a long time ago. And already knowing this, i still chose the big Classics for my recent purchase, because i actually wanted to go for an oversize effect.

As Indestructible as the Cyberdyne T-101
Are you kidding me? These are exactly the same ones I wore in high school but lost while windsurfing at the lake! Would you believe they don’t float?I really enjoyed the menacing look these shades give off.Thank you for keeping them around...30 years later!

BEAUTIFUL GLASSES!
The Blue Gargoyles are GORGEOUS! They appear to be identical to my Gargoyles of the late 80’s. The glasses appear to be without flaw, are comfortable and very well made. Time will tell. I just got mine in the mail today and I’m very happy. The included case is also very well made and appears to be very durable.

Misleading advertising
It was advertised as polarized.Glasses arrived as a regular, non-polarized product.Additionally, the base (amber) tint was unequally applied top to bottom of lens. When you look through, top was bluish, mid section was amber and bottom was light amber. Most likely another fake product

Save your eyesight and and try a pair
My husband has worn this style and brand of sunglasses for years and loves them. When our eye doctor said that our son needed to wear sunglasses outside due to light sensitivity I immediately went to this classic Gargoyles sunglass. This particular sunglass is polarized and blocks out UV rays which is vital to maintaining eye health. This is important because when you put on sunglasses your eyes dilate allowing more light in which damages the cornea. So save your eyesight and and try a pair but you should know that not all polarized sunglasses blocks out UV rays.
