ZIWI Peak Air-Dried Cat Food – Chicken - All Natural, High Protein, Grain Free, Limited Ingredient w/ Superfoods (14oz)

Very good food for my ferret. I know that it's for the cat which I also have. But my ferret eat it . Because ferret food it very unhealthy for them it has a lot weath in them and they can not digest it plus it has some type of oils that are toxic to them . One of my ferret got very sick and I try to take it to the doctor but they would not accept it because they are exotic animals. But this food works great for them. It is very expensive would like that the oz would be more for the price.

Good value compared to other very limited ingredient food in its class. We recently swapped our little hydrocephalus cat over to a carnivore diet. We will eventually push him into raw, but it is a slow process. He has had reoccurring bladder stones and was on special "urinary" food. The urinary food was chalked full of grains which is the very thing that upsets urinary PH balance. Go figure on that one. He was not eating a whole lot, but was starting to get fat. Somewhere it dawned on me ... cats are carnivores. I started reading that they don't even have the enzyme to properly digest grains & veggies. So we went carnivore and never looked back. He lost 2 lbs in the first week. He is not as bloated and his urine is much clearer. He seems happier and his eyes brighter. So to me ... value wise ... you can buy tons of special foods for your cat's needs and then also still have to pay for vet visits when they get sick like mine ... or you can buy a quality product, right off the bat, like this with quality ingredients. I actually end up feeding my little guy less and in the long run we are saving money. We feed him all meat wet food morning and night and we feed him THIS product in the middle of the day along with various all meat treats. We feed him whenever he gets overly pesty ... but do not leave food down to "free feed". All our cats love this stuff. Looking forward to trying other flavors. I was already familiar with this brand from trying their wetfood and this "dry" food made me love them even more. Could easily recommend it.

This brand is probably the best on the market, I only feed my cat this brand because it has no meat- by-product, no vegetables (cats are carnivores), and it keeps my cat healthy and keeps his body in perfect shape. The vet is amazed by my cat’s body shape. Yes, it’s not cheap, but giving your cats high quality food will save you tons of vet bills. The only thing is I do wish ZiwiPeak will have more Air-dried recipes with different proteins such as rabbit or bring back multiple protein air-dried as food diversity is one of the most important things in diet

The product is great, but extremely high priced for the quantity. The biggest issue is shipping. The product arrived without any kind of packaging, no bag or box, just exposed to the weather and open for anyone to take, as there was no mystery to the fact that there was a $75 bag of cat food just sitting there.

I ordered a small pack for the test (good smell, taste, and kibbles were soft) and my ferrets liked it! Then I ordered one big pack which was of the same quality, ferrets were transitioned to 100% Ziwi Peak. My next order was two big packs of the same flavor. When I opened the first one the smell was terrible (like burned oil), kibbles were overdried, crunchy, and darker than in the first two orders. Ferrets refused to eat this. The same was with the second pack. Now I have $100 worth of pet food that was spoiled by the manufacturer (Amazon Support refunded this order, thank you). The main problem was that I was forced to feed my ferrets with different food without transition! It's a terrible experience (now they have diarrhea). I canceled my subscription.

Expensive, yes... but my cats really like the chicken flavor of Ziwi. They are both 13 years old and they deserve the best food I can give them. I notice their bowl movements are a lot smaller and less smelly. Try also seem to be more playful and happy. I mix it in with their wet food as a topper and it makes their coats soft and shiny. I also leave a small bit down for them at night and they will eat it dry as well. You can add liquid to it to soften it. We have been using this brand for quite a few months now and am very happy with it.

This is a tough item to review. Quality and ingredients looked as expected. Nothing about the product made it seem like it wasn't high end food. Cats are strange little critters. My critters didn't take to the food. I was hoping to use as treats but not looking good for that either. They like their Royal Canin so will stick with that. Glad I only bought a small bag. I suggest to others to do the same. When ever changing foods. Also, mix a little at a time with current food so they can adjust. If they don't like they will either eat around or walk away.

Best food I've found yet for my cat! She's lost weight, her fur is silky soft and the litter box doesn't smell like it used to! She also has energy like a kitten again! I hope I'll always have access to this food, it comes from far away but for the health and happiness of my cat it's sooooooo worth it! Thank you to the company for making quality food! Not sure if they read reviews but wanted to say thank you regardless lol

Very expensive, but.. Ingredients are second to none. Having an indoor cat which refuses wet food, this food makes me feel considerably less concerned about feeding dry food. Complete feed, where every ingredient is species appropriate, high quality and has 96% meat content. I love that they define exactly what parts are actually in there. I do wish the meat used was specified as human grade, that they would add percentages on their ingredient lists and that there was some specification of whether the animals used had been fed antibiotics. But despite this, the food quality and company level of transparency beats every other dry food out there. If they keep up the quality, I will happily keep paying the price to know I am feeding my pets food that is actually healthy for them. Impossibly to get just now due to New Zealand fires - but hopefully it will be back soon and in the same great quality.
