This particular flashlight seems to be over-driving its LED, and it generates quite a bit of waste heat. I set it on my desk for about 30 minutes, forgetting it was on while I walked away, and when I came back it was nearly dead and the case was too hot to touch. Still works great though.I use it to cure UV resin and inspect surfaces for contamination. It has revealed secrets to me that no human should witness. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent but flawed *by S***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2022* After using this for about three months I can say this is a decent black light, but has some unfortunate flaws. On the plus side it has a really bright light on high setting, light weight, small size, and uses 2AAA batteries. The main flaw is the click button. It is completely exposed and gets activated for no reason at all. I have lost track of all the times that I have put new batteries in the light in the morning only to find it dead because I bumped the button sometime during the day. When the batteries aren’t dead (longest I’ve gone is 2 days) the light has 3 modes (high, medium, low) that you must automatically cycle through. You can do this by turning the light on and slightly pressing the button, or can click it on and off until it gets to the mode you want.This would be a great light if the manufacturer would re-design the button to be shielded (similar to the streamlight) and offered it in a high beam only light.
