Yes. There are no pesticides or harmful chemicals used in the process of growing the Crocus Sativus L. (Saffron Flower) which results to this product. Also there are no laboratory processes in which the saffron flower genetically modified. So this product is NOT Genetically Modified Organism (GMO).

Where is the flower grown?

The Crocus sativus L. or saffron flower in this product is grown and dried in North-East of Iran in Khorasan providence. The geographical elements of this region like the elevation and climate and human aspects, like the highly skilled farmers, make this product a Top Quality Saffron with high color, flavor and aroma readings according to ISO 3632 standard.

How may tablespoons will I get out of 2 grams?

Before I answer this, let me make it clear that a tablespoon technically is considered almost 14 grams. But since threads are bulky, it can be almost 4 tablespoons. If you ground it, the whole package can fit in 1 tablespoon. So it's a little tricky to use the tablespoon measurement for this. In a lot of our recipes that we post on our blogs, we use "pinch" of saffron! It might be good to know that, if we consider 125 mg of saffron (almost 20 threads) enough amount for a serving, you can get almost 16 servings out of this package.
