Bought this for my grand-daughter for Christmas. She loves it and plans to make a habitat for salamanders in the spring.

Thought it was a good value.

I can't express my distress with this, how people are saying its a good amount of space and buying it. I've had two turtles for about four years now and believe me, they need SO much more than this. They need room to swim freely as well as a good size basking platform. They also need uv and heat lamps, water heaters, filters, and other such things !! I can't say as much for tortoises because of my lack of experience but i am 100% certain this is FAR too small for them. Depending on the type of turtle of tortoise, they can also get multiple feet long as they get older, and this includes the red-eared slider, one of the most popular turtle pets.
