Great product and final product taste great

Great product. Everything worked fine and its pops the popcorn adequately. The only thing I have trouble with is the top lid closing while trying to fill it with oil and things.

This popcorn machine has its pros and cons. First, I must say that I was worried about the build quality as I read many reviews that stated that the machine cracks easily or was received cracked. Thankfully mine arrived packaged well and in great shape! It is plastic, so I can see how it could possibly crack, but so far this has not been an issue. If it does crack in the future I will update my review. Now for the pros and cons: Pros: - The machine is compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It can easily be kept on a kitchen counter which is nice. - It comes with a plastic tray to catch the popcorn which makes removing the popcorn very easy and helps to keep the machine clean which I really like. -The kettle is stainless steel and is not coated with teflon that can scrape off over time from the stirring mechanism like many of the other similar machines that I researched which can be unsafe to use. -Comes in 4 fun colors to choose from! (Black, Red, Pink, & Blue) -Although the “warming light” really doesn’t warm the popcorn, I do like that it has a light that lights up the machine. Many other similar size machines do not come with lights at all. -This machine has the handle to empty the kettle on the outside of the machine which I really like, and helps to eliminate burning yourself vs. many others where the handle is on the inside. -Makes great tasting popcorn that you just cannot get from microwave or air popped popcorn. Cons: -While the plastic housing of the machine is simple enough to clean with a damp cloth or paper towel the kettle itself does not come apart and it is a little tricky to clean. Especially because you have to take great care not to submerge it in water. -Removing and installing the kettle can be a little tricky to do. It has to be lined up just right and while it is doable. I feel it could be a little easier than it is. -I’ve noticed a few unpopped kernels that fly out while popping. Not a huge deal, I think some can be expected with these types of kettle poppers. Overall most of the popcorn does pop though. -This machine is small and only makes enough popcorn for one or two people. For me it’s fine since I’m the only one in my household that eats it, but not so ideal for more than two people. -While not a deal breaker, the machine did not come with the popcorn bags as advertised. Overall I do like the aesthetics of the popcorn machine, it looks great in my movie room! I do wish the kettle were easier to clean though. But with that said, the machine makes great popcorn and I am for the most part happy with it. I bought this machine along with everything needed to make authentic movie theater popcorn and it turned out really good! 2 tbsps. of Butter Flavored Coconut popping oil. 1/2 teaspoon Of Flavacol Popcorn Salt 1/3 cup of Popcorn Kernels When finished I top it off with the buttery popcorn topping to taste. ok i dont write reviews , but if u buy i want to give u a tip , when it first comes out , it taste like its stale , dont know why , so i bought more pop corn thought maybe corn was old .......was going to send back , i let it sit on he table WHEN I CAME BACK 5 MIN LATER IT TASTED IT IT WAS FINE , VERY GOOD ,SO IM KEEPING , WORKS WELL AND FAST

This little popcorn machine is awesome! It has a cool retro look that adds a fun vibe to movie nights, and it works way better than I expected for the size. It’s super easy to use—just add the kernels, a little oil, and in a few minutes you’ve got fresh, hot popcorn. The 2.5 oz size is perfect for a couple of people, and the popcorn tastes just like the kind you get at the theater. Cleanup is quick too, which is a big plus. It doesn’t take up much space and looks great sitting on the counter. Whether you’re hosting friends or just want a better popcorn experience at home, this machine is totally worth it!

I purchased this machine and truly enjoyed it. I read A LOT of reviews on different machines and opted for this one because of its positive reviews. After about 10 uses, I found a screw in my popcorn. As I inspected, I discovered it came from the roof of the machine. I thought I could screw it back in, but it wouldn't "catch" on anything. I also noticed another screw coming out. Sadly, I was just barely outside of my 30 day purchase window from Amazon. I have contacted the company and will update my review based on their response. It could be that I got a lemon, or it could be an issue with overall quality. I should say that the machine still works, though who knows what came loose and how being loose will affect its functionality in the long run. Hopefully the company will replace the machine as the warranty states. Before the issue, I would have given the machine 5 stars. As far as functionality, it worked great, and I was generally pleased with it. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting a high quality metal machine, and I didn't get one. The machine is plastic all around, and the kettle seems nicely constructed (which is the part that you really need to be well-made for a lasting machine). The amount of popcorn it produces is perfect for my wife and me, though you'd probably want to make several batches for more than 2 people. My recommendation would be to use coconut oil and popcorn salt - tastes very similar to theater popcorn! Delicious! **UPDATE** The company got back with me in a reasonable amount of time (later in the day) and emailed directions on how to take the lid of the machine off without damaging anything. What I found when I took it off was that one of the screws was completely missing (there are supposed to be 4 screws holding in the motor). The missing screw did not have a spare nut in the housing, so my guess is simply poor craftsmanship. I contacted the company again requesting that an extra screw and nut be sent. **2ND UPDATE** The "fix" Great Northern sent was helpful. Basically you use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the front logo of the machine (do this at the base of the logo piece so as not to damage it). Then remove two screws that are revealed, and finally use the flathead screwdriver to pry off the lid (again, be careful). Once inside, you can clearly see how the screws hold down the motor. GN sent me replacement screws upon my request because one was missing. I haven't had a chance to go to a hardware store to buy a lock washer to keep the nut from coming loose - it seems like this could be a problem in the future. I've probably used the machine 3 dozen plus times. The popcorn still tastes awesome and the machine runs pretty well! I clean the kettle every 3-4 poppings as suggested, and it hasn't had any problems beyond what I've shared here. I still only give it 3 stars due to the quality issue I mentioned.
