It seems like it is durable and will last.I have opted for toys like this versus the string and knotted counter parts for tugging type playing because I for one do not enjoy having to pull the strings that won't completely pass out of my dogs butt! Plus, I don't want to have to worry about it getting bound up and causing intestinal obstructions.Plus, this toy is long enough that you don't need to worry about getting your fingers caught in your dogs mouth and nicked by his/her teeth by accident...I will update as needed.*Update: Molly has been chewing on this toy like it stole her last meal!
