It has been a couple years so I'm updating the review and ordering more lighters. The only issue I have found is some of the lighters require me to take the metal safety guard off, pop the fuel adjuster off its spot and readjust where it sits at "home". As in, the flame is too low, it will only go so high before it hits the metal guard. I have only had to do this on 4 out of 20 lighters so NBD. The electronic sparker lasts long time IMO but not forever. I had two of the 20 sparkers wear out in 2 years. Not bad odds considering the unit price and the fact that flints on BIC lighters go out sooner. (you can make a BIC lighter refillable but good luck changing the flint when it wears out) Everyone knows lighters are going to be lost, stolen and malfunction. These lighters all worked when they arrived, refilled fine, kept sparking fine, malfunction at an acceptable rate (2 of 20 in 2 years), required only minor adjustments (4 of 20) and are unique looking enough none of my peers or contemporaries have lighters similar in appearance. This cuts down on accidental thefts and ownership confusion. As long as the price does not increase when new stock is available Aug 7th I'm going to invest in a larger bulk purchase. I was wary when purchasing them and not expecting them to work out as well as they did. Now I'm down to buy 100 more.

These arrived quickly in a polybag. Every one worked on first try and I've been using the first one now for two weeks. They light everytime on first try. The flame adjusts and they are refillable. For .50¢ a piece, what's not to love? Way better than a Bic not only for the piezoelectric ignition. I like the clear plastic because you can easily see how much fuel remains.Update: I've had these lights now for two months and they are still totally with the price. I'm still using the first one and have refilled it five times already. Still lights everytime on the first try. Only worry now is if I am ever going to use them all if I keep telling them. I usually wait till I lose it or it no longer reliably lights. I typically get two or three refills from disposable lighters, but these seem to keep going.

This simplistic lighter blows away most of the more expensive lighter I bought. In terms of functionality and dependability, this lighter has it. It lights each and every time with at the flame intensity you've set. No more fluctuating or bouncing flame even if you keep the lighter lit for a while. The only down side is the plastic crease underneath the metal top tends to melt under a prolonged flame I suppose this will happen to all plastic lighters. But this lighter seems more susceptible because of the downward sloped shape of the metal part.

I would buy more of them but they don't seem to be available anywhere presently.

I used them to make silk flowers for my wedding. So, lots of clicks. I only burned out 3 of them. Good product, good price!

I roll my own cigarettes with natural, additive free tobacco from American Spirit. They go out fast since there are no chemicals in them to keep them burning so I go through a lot of lighters even though I am a very light smoker (about 5 a day). I just order a 20 pack or more and the price is great.

Go price out some lighters at the store, even a discounter like Walmart. Then compare those to THIS DEAL. Even if half of these ultimately fail or don't work at all, the price cannot be beat!

Simple, no idiot (child) switch. They all (20) work. Actually they came in yesterday's mail and I came here to get more but Amazon is out. Oh well. They're refillable.
