This is an excellent first-whittling knife. It’s nice and sharp, has a blunt tip, finger guard, short blade, and sheath. It’s a great size for a child learning whittling skills with supervision. This is the knife my 6-yo is starting to work with, and my top recommendation for my forest school students, all the way up to age 12. Even teenagers would find this a fine blade to work with. We have not cut any fingers with them yet. The only complaint I have is that it’s hard for kids to tie the sheath on securely.

Nephew loves it, comes sharp, the safety handle is a nice touch, makes carving easier than a traditional pocket knife.. Good “My first knife” for your youngin.

Great for kids

Bought for my younger son in scouts for his Woodling Chip. Value is good for product. Like the look of it, easy to use. Wish the sleeve holder was made with a better tie in vs just two strings. Fit is right for 10-12 year olds hands. No locking mechanism so beware of handling, does have a finger guard on the underneath of the handle. Could use a thumb cut out for better ergonomic handling.

Great products! Would recommend for all ages and skill. Durable, easy to use, and good for the price! Knives are sharp but should be!

Great first knife for my grandson

Das Messer ist sehr gut verarbeitet und kam richtig scharf an. Es liegt super in der Hand und lässt sich präzise führen. Ich habe schon einige Holzarbeiten damit gemacht und die Ergebnisse waren sauber und genau, ideal für feine Schnitzereien. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist die Messerscheide, die nicht besonders praktisch ist, da man sie jedes Mal mit einem Knoten verschließen muss. Trotzdem bin ich insgesamt sehr zufrieden und vergebe aufgerundete 5 Sterne.

I bought this for my 7 yr old for his birthday. Its small size will fit his hand well and has a short blunt blade. It seems sharp enough to do the job but not too sharp and it comes with a little blade cover. Great little knife!
