Let down by an overly soft sole and shoddy rubber
These boots are supremely comfortable - almost like you're wearing crocs. And that also is the reason they weird me out. You feel every bit of the road you're walking on. The sole is advertised as vibrams but it doesn't feel so - instead it's very flexible - slightly less than a running shoe and more than a walking shoe and definitely not hard like a hiking, trekking or army boot (or even a bata moccasina leather shoe I have from 2011).I feel leg pain when I walk longer than 5km in a 2-hour span - but it's only been a few days of owning them. This is so unlike walking shoes, trail running shoes, trekking boots and hiking sandals that I have owned (all from Decathlon incidentally). Some of the rubber-like faux leather in the toe guard of my right side sole also came off a little. I've a photo of that defect right from when I bought the shoe! The sole also seemed to have a thread embedded in it when it shouldn't have been there. This means this boot isn't even very high quality (as the GoldStar brand is supposed to be per popular opinion). It DOES however look better with jeans on than their Indian clone Unistar's products. In the end, these seem more like indoor work boots - the kind of role you'd buy a pair of Crocs Specialists for. Their ideal use-case is if your profession requires you to wear closed toe formal-ish shoes (but not safety boots) and you work inside a building and need to walk a lot. Nurses, waitors, teachers and hoteliers come to mind primarily. While the sole is of a sneaker, the form factor is of a full-length boot. This coupled with the soft sole means your feet aren't always very planted inside the boot. The laces are also ridiculously long and tend to get caught underneath the boot. So you can't use these where supportive form-fitting sneakers would be more appropriate. But the extra padding around the ankle CAN be useful if you're riding a bicycle (it isn't sufficiently padded for a motorcycle). I'd actually say these are the perfect sort of footwear to use of you bicycle to work everyday.I wish the manufacturer would increase the price slightly and offer a thicker and heavier sole, along with improving the stitching quality. Also the fabric certainly doesn't feel very breathable so they might as well make the outer rubberized or plastic coated and thus fully waterproof. And the laces absolutely NEED to be shorter. They're ridiculously annoying otherwise. For the price though (I paid 645₹) I'd give them a 3/5 rating. I'd also consider the Indian clone of this brand, Unistar which sells identical boots for 419₹ or 31% less. Like I said earlier, the Unistar version of these boots are significantly uglier due to the missing leather alongside the shoe lace holes (which on the GoldStar boots make everything look consistent and symmetric when wearing long trousers). In the end, I HAD to return it due to the defects in the rubber. I'd probably buy them again but seeing that out of 3 purchases of GoldStar from Amazon, one was perfect but undersized (the spiked blue training shoes), one had shoddy stitching (the classic design GoldStar sneakers) and this had defects in build, I'd be happier buying these offline.

Hunter but not the best
I did not like the sole, inside and out. It's a bit too spongy and that's why it skids.
