Ni-Cd that is no longer chargeable. what will replace it ??** A: I had the same problem. Ryobi said they could order a replacement from Germany for £94 plus vat plus carriage!!!!!! I ordered a Golden Dragon replacement for my 14.4v in 1.7mh and it works perfectly. Holds a charge ( I take battery off when I stock drill) and has bags of ooomph. Just look up your drill number on Golden Dragon Amazon when you're into Ryobi batteries. **Q: Advert title says this works with a roybi chi1442 but in the description it doesn't mention that model number does this work chi1442** A: I purchased this product for use on chi 1442p and it works fine. Not had it long enough to vouch for the longevity of the product but so far so good. **Q: Can i use the ni-mh batteries with the original (ni-cd) charger? normally this would not be possible, but it says that the batteries have electronics** A: My Ryobi battery was knackered and hugely expensive to replace from Germany so I ordered the equivalent Golden D.
