Can i use my tv remote to control the speaker?

If you use the HDMI ARC channel to connect your TV to the soundbar, the TV remote WILL control the soundbar. You won't have access to the various sound settings which do come in handy, but my new Visio connects to it and then gives me an on-screen message saying that my sound device is connected and can be controlled with the TV remote.
