Review: Superb - So there's a lot of hype around these tyres. I needed a new pair of road tyres and had always wondered about GP5000s, so as these were on at a decent price and after much research with other manufacturers, I bought a pair. I'm running them with butyl inner tubes. Tyres were easy to mount on my carbon rims using a Tyre Monkey. I can imagine a bit tricky without one, so I'd recommend one of those of you're considering these tyres. I took them out for a short test ride at a good pace just to try them out, and I was not disappointed. They handled superbly, the bike felt quicker straight away, and leaning into corners, they felt grippy and light. I managed an average speed of just over 20mph over a 30 mile ride, about average for me, but with a strong headwind on the last 12 miles I like to think these helped. According to Strava I hit quite a few personal bests too. I'm yet to try them in the wet, but I'm not keen on taking my road bike out in the wet anyway, so perhaps never will! Overall I like these tyres a lot, the hype maybe justified, I'll see as I put more miles on them. I also think they look the business, look absolutely superb on the bike. Photo's are after first ride out.

I always prefer Continental tyres as they are reliable, smooth, great in all weathers and with the contrast colour on the side of the tyre they are eye catching. They always seem to give me more miles than other tyres I have used in the past, so value for money too.

**Q: What’s the difference between the style names Clincher and the GP5000 option?**
A: GP5000 are clinchers, GP5000 TL are tubeless, so the below answer is incorrect. This is a listing for GP5000 tyres.

**Q: are they shipped folded ?**
A: Yes.  They need some handling to get them warm and ready for putting on.

**Q: Is the 700 25c the same as 25-622?**
A: The 700 is the overall diameter of the tyre. The 622 is the bead diameter (the bit that sits on the rim) 
I’d stay away from these and stick to the more reliable 4 seasons tyre.

**Q: What size fits a 26” wheel?**

So there's a lot of hype around these tyres.
