I bought this for use with our Christmas tree this last year. Our tree was tucked back in a corner and it was tough to unplug it everyday without messing up our tree. The remote was a great discover. We kept the remote by our keys and it was super convienent to switch it off and on.

Very handy device
Works fine. We use it to turn on all the lighting on our entertainment unit. We put it on a hook on our remote holder. One quick click and lights are on or off.

May not last long
Worked great for under six months then just stopped. I loved the convenience of the remote (which still seems to operate fine) but the receiver, plug, is what just stopped operating. Perhaps you can’t really use outside.

I ordered this in July 2018 and it is now Nov 2018. This item does not work. Do not buy.
