Daiwa J-Braid Grand 8 X 300 YDS Filler Spool

My go-to 10 lb braid for BFS and spinning Been running Daiwa J-Braid 10 lb on both my BFS baitcaster and spinning setup and I keep buying it. It’s thin, round, and quiet through the guides, which matters a lot when you’re throwing light stuff. Casts clean and I don’t get the wind-knot headaches I had with coarser 4-strand lines. Sensitivity is excellent. You feel the lure and the bottom without the line fighting you. Knots hold — Palomar and leader connections have been solid. Color has held up fine after a good amount of use; it fades some like every braid, but not as fast as cheaper stuff. Not a heavy-cover workhorse, and that’s not what 10 lb is for. For finesse, docks, open water, and light presentations it’s been exactly what I wanted. I’ll keep spooling this.

I ran this braid on my Shimano NASCI 2500 for several months, and it's pretty durable (I fish in Hawaii around a lot of rocks and reef). Knot strength is great, it never once slipped on me, and casting was smooth. The light blue makes it easy to see which direction my line is if I'm soaking bait rather than actively retrieving (though it has faded slightly over the past several months). The only reason I respooled my reel was because I went to Japan and got multicolor JDM PE line other than that I'd recommend this J-braid.

Great stuff, incredibly ease to work with. Strong knots, great casting distance, solid abrasion resistance. I recommend only using it for freshwater or from a kayak or boat. I tested this stuff on jetties, NOT recommended, jetties chew this stuff up. I recommend sufix 832 for jetties, thicker than this stuff so you can't put as much line on the reel as you can with this stuff but sufix 832 handles jetties much better. That's why it gets 4 stars.

I have used many different braids from different manufacturers and they all make great braid. I recently purchased a 2023 Shimano Stradic 2500shg and wanted a thin diameter 8 carrier braid for smoother and longer casts with lures and this x8 J Braid is thin and smooth. It has been tested to break right around 19ft/lbs which is great for this reels drag which is stated as 4KG with duracross drag washer but I replaced it with a Carbontex drag washer which should increase drag by about 2-4lbs, I also added some Cals drag grease to add smoothness.

I've had this line on my reel for several months now with no issues. Biggest fish landed was a 26 in. Speckled trout. Not bad for 10lb braid

Really good line for inshore fishing. 10lb is super thin and limp. Perfect for throwing small lures. Really strong knot strength

Fish for a few hours line starts to unravel i thought it was the eyes damaging the line is not damaged just feels rough after hours because it is unraveling the weave gets loose as you fish ether its no good this line or Amazon just got a bad batch yet again it is like amazon sells defective products as new next oder i make better be right or im done with the prime scam fully done
