This filter might be okay depending on what kind of mineral ions you can tolerate in your body.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Been using this filter for a few months till I bought zero water filter and used the meter to gauge the quality of this water. The water from the tap shows 0.32. The water from this filter shows 0.24. The water from zero water is 0. (filter to be replaced when it shows 0.6). You can judge for yourself. I will see if I can return this ICEPURE filter.

Fits like the original one. Can't really tell a difference with taste of the water. But I can tell you that it doesn't have a foul smell or taste. I don't see anything floating in the water either.I cut up the an original filter and this Ice Pure Pro and the filter media looks identical. The OEM one looks a tad thicker. The hole is also smaller. But other than that, they look the same.I'd like to do additional test and will update with results once I do.

I was instantly impressed with our water flavor after installing this after-market filter. It tastes just like "Ice Mountain" (my favorite bottled water). This is remarkable since it's about 70% cheaper than the Maytag filter our fridge manufacturer recommends... and it tastes BETTER! (The flow rate is about the same.) The installation was complete in less than one minute.Simple, great value, great taste. (Almost sounds like a beer commercial.) If you're in the market for compatible water filters, pick up a pair of these and I bet you'll be happy.

Ordered this filter because i didn't want to continue overpaying for the OEM filters. This was less than half the price and fits perfectly with my KitchenAid refrigerator. Water quality is good. However, while the product advertises that it should be changed every 6 months, my experience was that it actually needs to be replaced after 3. I installed on March 31, and by end of May (2 months) the water flow was significantly slowed. By end of June (3 months) it was so slow that it needed to be replaced. When I reviewed the data sheet and FAQs included in the box it actually states that the filter needs to be replaced every 6 months "or 300 gallons". Still recommend this filter, however be aware the 6 months lifespan is not accurate.

I purchased two of these filters for my Kitchenaid refrigerator and there was something wrong with them because they didn't last. However, they refunded my credit card and also sent me a replacement of the same brand I am used to buy. In addition, they also offered a couple of their filters free of charge once I tried the brand name filter without any issues. I will definitely give them another try. Great customer service!

This refrigerator water filter has a long service life, with 6 months between replacements. Installation is so easy, taking less than a minute using a snap-on mechanism to the filter cartridge port. Snap off, snap on! After installing I noticed much clearer and fresher tasting water. No more chlorine odor or taste!

We use these filters for two people. They definitely do not last 6 months. After 2-3 months, the water flow is so low that it takes over 60 seconds to fill a 12oz cup. But it’s great for the first couple months and the price isn’t too bad.

Leaked water all over when I was installing - might have been me, but it was a little hard to push in so the water leaked. Otherwise ive been pleased. The water tastes better than the last filter I used.
