I had first read this book back in the 70's when it had first come out. I remember being fascinated by the notations! I loaned the book out but never got it back so I thought I'd indulge and buy this book again. It makes for really interesting reading - physics included! A highly recommended book - and the seller is really great as well - delivery was 17 days ahead of the estimated delivery date. Awesome! Thank you!

これは、仕掛け絵本と、不思議の国のアリス&鏡の国のアリスとが、混在しているようですが 私に届いたのは、後者の方でした。(値段が高い=仕掛け絵本のようです。)良かった。 持ち歩きには、不便ですか、注釈が豊富で、じっくり楽しめます。 追記 (2021年) 久しぶりに、英米文学の原文を読もうとしましたが、自分がどのレベルにいるのか、分からずとりあえず、本書を読み始めました。(日本語訳は読んでいたので。) 10ページすぎたあたりから､読むのが楽しくなりました。 およそ100年前の物語なので､ジーニアス英和辞典の他に、研究社新英和辞典を使って、読んでいます。 もう､英検を受験する気はないので、これからは、リーディングを極めたい､と思っています。 私は、不思議の国のアリスの原文のレベルは、大学1年生程度と、考えています。

I had bought a paperback edition of The Annotated Alice in 1972! It’s a much-thumbed copy now as I’ve dipped into it every now and then over all these years. I found out about this 150th year edition by chance and bought it. This is a beautiful hard back edition with drawings by Tenniel (I’m sorry but I cannot accept anyone else’s!). So many new notations and explanations. I love it!
