Let's go to Mars!
I love this book, it's thoroughly informative and charming. It's a perfect mix of education and entertainment, both you and your child are guaranteed to learn something new. Mission: Mars draws you in immediately with its beautiful illustrations, high-resolution pictures and detailed descriptions as you prepare for your trip to the red planet. This book also includes pictures and descriptions from the author, Dr. Pascal Lee, a Planetary Scientist who is out in the field actively conducting research for a trip to Mars, which makes this book equally fascinating for the adult and young reader. The "Message From Your Training Director" is fun because you feel as if you're communicating with "Mission Control" throughout your journey. This training manual is sure to inspire a generation of children fascinated by space travel. The reader has a chance to test their knowledge with a training drill and you'll find a Certificate of Achievement that you can cut out and frame for your young explorer. This book makes a perfect gift, it's my new go-to gift for the young people in my life.

Great information and good art
As a disclaimer, Pascal spoke at an event that we ran. He is passionate and knowledgeable about Mars and he's effective and transferring some of that passion and knowledge to people of all ages. The art is well done and helps convey that information.I bought a copy for myself (an adult scientist and science popularizer), but I would have loved this when I was a kid & was happy to see people at our event pickup copies for their children.

What a marvellous and engaging book!
What a fabulous, informative and engaging book for children 6 to 14 .... and far beyond .... who are thirsty to know more about what to expectof to-morrow's MARS exploration. A MUST for any 21st Century child who will witness it all in his thirties if he is not himself an active participant to this 'grand voyage' !

Real science kids will love!
Every kid deserves an opportunity to think ahead to the future they can be a part of! Very accessible for kids, with good information for adults, too! I was lucky enough to meet Pascal Lee in person and really enjoyed his talk (which was aimed at the kids, but I learned a lot!)

The layout and info kept her attention. Big ups...
The 7-year old actually paid attention as I read this to her. Bonus points for dad (and the author/layout crew) when she pointed to stuff and asked questions. Onward...

Best space exploration book for kids - ever
The most outstanding book about exploration of space that I have ever read. Succinct narrative of what it will take to get a human being safely to Mars (and back). Original illustrations are magnificent. For children (intended audience) as well as adults. Simple and short, but immensely informative. "Big things come in little packages."

Suitable for wide age range
Includes a wealth of information and great illustrations. Convinced my 7 yr old grandson he might want to explore Mars, but has enough depth of information to interest a much older child. Has a great photo of a Martian "bigfoot".
