I specifically bought this test kit because the product description, as then written, claimed: "The new and improved sensafe manganese eliminates interferences from several ions like copper, iron, cobalt, lead, nickel, etc." Well, when we actually used the test strips and made the resulting color comparisons, what did we discover on the package in very tiny print above the test color reference dots: "Interference: Similar color development may occur elevated levels for some +2 valence metals, such as aluminum, copper, iron, lead, magnesium or zinc."
