Riedel Extreme Oaked Chardonnay Glass, Set of 2, Clear

We've done side by side tasting and the oaked chardonnays tastes vastly better in these compared to Zwiesel all around tasting glasses (not cheap either). It's like a completely different wine. If you are a chardonnay fan you need these! They're not terribly delicate so don't worry about that, but I do carefully handle and hand wash. I have many Riedell varietal stems and find they are all worth having if you want to enjoy your wine to the fullest.

I never thought too much about which glass to use until I took a Riedel wine glass tasting class. The correct glass made me believe good Chardonnay was actually worth the price. Wow. Dry Oregon Rieslings were always great, and noticeably better in the correct glass. The Rose and Shiraz glasses are a gift (I hope my husband’s not reading this review!), but I expect our New Year toasts to taste even better. What they say is true: All Riedel glasses are super light weight, more durable than you’d think, and regularly get washed on the bottom rack (most are too tall for my top rack), without breaking or clouding. Put some wrapped candy in your old, heavy wine glasses, tie a bow around the stem, and give them away as party favors. I did.

We love our Ridel glasses. Simply elegant in every way. Yes, their a touch fragile but so worth it in fit and finish.

The shape & quality of these wine glasses adds ambiance to enjoying a good wine Afterall, it’s not just what’s in the glass it’s also about the tool used I LOv using these for a good Chardonnay Cheers……..!

They are huge! I had no idea that these are 24 ounces! Beautiful but uncomfortably large.

Love these! They're beautiful and a pleasure to drink both red and white wine from even though they're varietal specific and made for oaky white wine. (lovvve oaky Chardonnay and don't care what those crazy millenials think!-hahaha!) Thanks!

Bought these in anticipation of holiday guests who are oenophiles. I imagine they work for both whites and reds and even (!) champagne. Generous bowl. The typical very tall wine stem from Riedel. The manufacturer packages the glasses really well for shipping/storage.

These glasses are beautiful and so elegant

Telling a friend we were looking for good sized wine glasses my friend told me about the tasting she did with red and white wines in a Riedel glass, designed to improve the taste, so I ordered these and as soon as they arrived did a comparison taste and was so happy to discover it's true, the wine tastes better. Highly recommend.

Unlike other Riedel glasses these are much thicker. Good for durability but doesn’t provide the same feel and taste as you’d expect from Riedel.
