Does it damage the inside of window suction?

I thought that this was a terrible product. The 2 sides do not always stick together, and you have to open the window time and again to retrieve the second half. Not a good design.

What is the thickness of piece that goes on the outside of the window? I only have a very small opening between the sliding door & outside railing.

Sorry. Cannot answer. The magnet was so strong I could not get it apart and returned it.

What's the spillage situation with this if using a spray cleaner to prep window? My neighbor below has an awning that I'm concerned about damaging.
