This is a quality lever and nice mute set, perfect for just testing the waters of piano tuning. After using this kit, i can appreciate the extended pro levers, but with a good ear and gentle touch, this lever will do in a pinch! The felt mute was a lot more handy than I expected, and I'd personally recommend ordering a 2nd felt just to simplify things. The rubber mutes are quite flexible and fairly easy to work with, although for those expecting starter holes for the skewers, you get to make those when you push the skewers into the rubber the first time. So far the lever has been a perfect fit for every tuning pin I've encountered in my very limited use. Its been great fun learning with this kit.

I've saved a lot of money with this kit by not having to hire a piano tuner. Maybe it isn't as good as a professional. But it's good enough for me.

Piano tuning is not for the novice. These tools are decent but the level of skill required to tune a piano takes a long time to develop. Think you are up to the task b/c your 12 string guitar sounds great? Take a couple of months off work or leave it to the professionals.

I was wary about this because it seemed so cheap. It actually performs BETTER than my former Schaefer lever being super-light, slightly shorter, and more comfortable to grip, and it latches onto pins just as well. I'm amazed at the quality of this tool, and the mutes are great and sturdy. I don't know what makes a temperament strip good or bad, but this one seems to work fine. But wow, the price is worth it just for the hammer alone.

This tool set got me through my first piano tuning! The mutes were especially helpful for many of the strings where the felt wouldn't fit. The wrench was sturdy enough for the task at hand. Tuning pegs on the piano do not require much of a turn to change pitch. That took some getting used to. The instructions that came with this tuning set was quite helpful. I am happy with this set and look forward to tuning more pianos with it.

My wife is a music teacher and we got a "free" 100 year old grand piano for our guest house so that she could give lessons there vs our house. It sounded really bad and I realized that I was now on the hook to pay for the tuning of two grand pianos every year. Watched a YouTube video and downloaded a simple phone app and decided to risk the $60 bucks on this tool. It took me about 4 hours but the piano sound great (per my wife and son). If I can do this anyone can!

Products is good quality but came missing the 50 inch temperament strip. Seller was quick to resolve.
