Augason Farms Butter Powder Can

This stuff is great on popcorn and is handy when you need a mix in for a cake or mashed potatoes. I would not reconstitute it with water and try to put it on toast although you could probably roll an ear of corn in it. It doesn't have an oily texture it feels fluffy and moist and taste like butter as it should. But it doesn't provide A butter like experience if you're looking for something you can spread or melt on something like a pancake. I would say the amount you get for the price is very decent. But you will need to be able to use it up fairly quickly as it probably doesn't have a long shelf life once opened. You could divide it into separate containers in a freezer though and I think that's what I'll do next time. It's definitely a quality product.

Comes exactly as shown, freshly packed with plenty of storage time on it. Just a heads up it's the flavor and texture that bumped down my rating. I can see this being useful for some recipes and I am in hurricane territory. Last bad storm was a CAT5 and we didn't have power for a full month, they thought it was gonna be 3mths, but thankfully it wasn't. Getting my kit together and I'm trying to prep my kit but want to pre-try the supplies and buy an additional one for storage. The #10 can was on sale cheaper than the small bag so I bought it and opened it up and reconstituted it to the directions. I noted it was still kinda grainy and felt like dry milk. Taste would be better than nothing but it kinda taste like the cheep butter powder on popcorn, which I might use it for lol. I see it failing to make things like biscuits or to use for a cooking pan etc. this is more of a light butter FLAVORING. I will be storing ghee instead for these uses.

Before you buy understand: - it doesn't melt, so you cannot fry or sear with it. - it's more like a spread. - it doesn't taste 100% like fresh butter but does have a buttery taste, which is acceptable as a backup to fresh butter. I opened one can of powdered butter to test it out. I first reconstituted and tried some. It was better than I had expected. I added some to corn and it was good. I then added the butter powder and some milk powder to potato flakes. It was actually quite delightful. If I am ever in a situation where there is no butter, milk, or potatoes then I will be happily feasting on mashed potatoes. If you have fresh butter then of course use that over the powdered butter. If fresh butter is unavailable then this powdered butter will do fine. 5/5 stars for taste, texture, shelf life, and price (while on sale of course). It may not melt but there are so many other comments stating that it doesn't.

This is amazing stuff!!! I have only bought butter once since I began using this & it's because I was out of this!!! I never mix water with it anymore, I just sprinkle it in or on whatever I need butter with! If I need it in a liquid form, I use milk, NOT water. It has a better taste for sure! I even sprinkle it in/on my grits, cream of wheat, & oatmeal! I even sprinkle it on my English muffins right after I toast them & then put my softly poached eggs on each half and mash them down and they are so delicious!!! My favorite thing to eat it with is sprinkled on my popcorn!

My mistake. what a waste of money!!!! I did not check the fat content. Butter is made from cream, so the fat content should be high! This not real butter powder with only 2% fat and made with non fat milk??????

I do not go to supermarkets but buy everything online, so there are certain foods I cannot get , especially frozen or refrigerated foods. Butter is a common ingredient that I need in preparing other foods. This butter powder is amazing. It lasts for a year in the cupboard, but I will probably use it all up before then. It is so convenient to use and I am delighted with this product. As a prepper, I have researched companies that produce foods that can be stored long term for emergencies, and I knew about Auguson Farms already, and I already had a very high opinion of this company, so when I saw this product being advertised I had no hesitation in buying it. It was a no-brainer!

My purchase Arrived well packaged and delivered by Royal Mail service. Has a BB date to be used by (10 years). It’s part of my emergency storage very expensive. After considering the long storage and good quality it’s great value In case of a dire emergency money in the bank will be no use to me or anyone else. Please with my purchase.
