SHRILALMAHAL Empire Basmati Rice (Most Premium) (1 Kg)

This is THE BEST basmati I have ever come Cross n i have tried almost all brands found in India. 1) It's very long grained (soak it in normal water for half hour n the grains elongate twice its usual size). Cook it in clay pot or non stick/steel pot n the grains cook very fast n very soft. If cooked in cooker, it can break the delicate grains n u will lose the long grain advantage. 2) Very fragrant (experienced such fragrance after really long time as other brands only give long grained basmati but dont contain any fragrance). 3) Amazon often sells this at lightning sale, so keep a lookout n buy then. Even normally its avbl for Rs 835/ 5kgs vich is very good price considering I have spent equivalent amounts on other basmati brands only to find out that it lacks either in length or fragrance. So this rice is definitely value for money. This is my third purchase within 6 months n my family loves this rice. I even gifted a pack to my mom on mothers day n she loved it. The fragrance spreads throughout the house while cooking. Rice lovers....dont think twice...try out this rice at once !

I've been a loyal consumer of SHRILALMAHAL Empire Basmati Rice for quite some time now, and it's disheartening to say that the recent changes in its taste and quality have left me thoroughly disappointed. We used to enjoy this rice regularly, but our latest order revealed a noticeable difference. The aroma, which used to be the highlight of this rice, has taken a hit. It's not the same delightful scent we were accustomed to. The change in taste is equally disconcerting; it's almost as if we received a completely different product. We were willing to pay a premium for the quality we had come to expect, but what we got was far from it. Paying a higher price for a product should come with an assurance of maintaining, if not improving, its standards. Unfortunately, this recent purchase felt like a letdown, leaving us questioning the authenticity and integrity of the product. It almost seems like a duplicate version of the rice we once loved.

Overpriced..... aroma is not up to the mark.... definitely not suitable for biryani or pulav ... not worth the price

Rice is the staple food for my family (by this I mean we eat rice twice a day, daily). Being daily consumers of rice we like to get the best one available for us, till now it was Royal basmati rice. It was very coincidental that we had run over for rice and while browsing through Amazon to purchase more rice, I stumbled upon this product (I remembered seeing this rice bag somewhere before), and ordered one to try it out. To my surprise, it turned out to be the best decision! Just by opening the bag I could feel the basmati aroma, and while cooking our entire kitchen was smelling sweet (enough to make a basmati lover drool). The after cooking length of this rice was definitely the longest of all the rice we have used (and trust me, we have tried most of them if not all). With no doubt, I can say that this is the best basmati rice available. I felt that the 3 factors that distinguish Empire Basmati rice from other rice are: 1) It has a milky white color (preferred by my family and friends, my dad tells me this was the color of rice he grew up eating, which was naturally processed without use of artificial rice enhancing methods), unlike others which are yellowish. 2) Amazing aroma and taste 3) Longest rice length PS: Make sure to follow the cooking instructions on the bag!

Great quality of basmati rice! Have been using this brand since last 2 months. The best part is that it is very easy to prepare within a short period of time (30 min soak + 8-10 min cook and done!). The rice has its own taste, which is even good enough to eat on its own (I like to have some with curd or make biryani, pic attached). You can add flavours as per taste, it goes well with almost every one of them. Though the price is relatively high (which I am guessing is due to added delivery cost and fee for a bulky item), but trust me it's completely Worth it. You can easily feel the difference once you try it yourself.

aromatic super long grain rice. i found this brand on reddit. product stays fresh forever, and is perfection, fills the house with delicious rice aroma. great for persian or indian dishes. i used a japanese zojirushi rice cooker and the grains come out perfect texture in 60 minutes -- white rice setting super easily. no soaking needed. just mix a little oil and salt and its good to go. sometimes saffron or turmeric. it's worth the money i put this purchase on repeat. not a lot of sellers aree selling this
