I think they must be discontinuing the Slate Color - which is the color I purchased, hence the reduction in price. The leather is beautiful and so soft and will clearly look even better as it wears. The length of the straps are perfect for me as I hate struggling with shorter straps when I have a coat on. Even though the leather is soft, it doesn’t lose its shape when it’s sitting is on a table. As always, I wish bags had a few more pockets but bag designers seem to hate the idea of pockets. This bag has two shallow, standard pockets on one side of the interior of the bag and another zipper pocket on the other side. There are no exterior pockets which is kind of a bummer because searching for my phone is always such a hassle. It also has a little strap that you can use to connect your keys to instead of having to fish for them at the bottom of this generously sized bag. Frye bags can be a decent financial investment but in my experience they last a lifetime.
