Almost perfect
I was hesitant about this product, very hesitant. Most cheap motion lights such as these don't really work all that great, and the lifespan is always disappointing. I bought these to use as emergency lighting in a power outage rather than purchasing dedicated blackout bulbs due to the cost and ease of charging. I am not disappointed. Not even a bit. My bathroom has 6 vanity lights behind a translucent shade above the mirror, and I placed one of these below the bulbs, shining out of the translucent cover. I mounted the motion sensor on the wall next to the fixture, and set them to only come on in the dark, at the lowest time setting available. Now, when you walk into the room, it's a perfectly useable light all through the bathroom. It does kick on so quickly that you don't have time to turn on the light switch, and sometimes it kicks on when you're leaving and turn the main lights off. That's not a complaint, they last a fair amount of time between charges at the lowest time setting. To counter this, I turn them completely off sometimes knowing that if needed in a power outage, all I have to do is flip the switch and have automatic lighting. Otherwise, I let it turn on and simply charge it every few weeks to make sure it's ready. It detaches easily making charging a breeze. I'd almost consider trying to wire it so that it's always charging and still useable, but there aren't any plugs that close and I'm not sure how that would be for the battery. My only complaint is that the time settings jump from 15 seconds to 130, to 360. 15 is just a bit too low for actual usage as a bathroom light (I sometimes don't move a whole lot while peeing and it kicks off so I have to do a strange little dance so that it detects motion), and 130 seems excessively draining for a light I rarely use as the primary light. 360 is too much, and I don't think the battery could handle much activation at that length. Other than that, buy them. Wholeheartedly recommend, put them in your cupboard, your bathroom, hallway, closet, wherever. They're hideous to see the strips but you can see that when you purchase them, so hide them with a little effort and they're excellent lighting solutions.

Not quite perfect, but the best that exists
My house has one of those unfortunate entryways where the front door is lower than the entire first floor by one step. Being an older house, there are no outlets near this unexpected little feature, so I couldn't even put a night light there. I bought two of these rechargeable motion sensing light strips as the width of the drop is five feet and the led strips themselves are only one meter long (a little over 3 feet). Did I mention these are rechargeable? The sensor piece is small and light because it doesn't need to have four AA batteries in it. It recharges via micro USB. Time will tell how well the battery performs. The led strip can be cut with scissors at special places that are marked. I cut one at 32" and one at 28", giving me 60" of length. (There was no option for 30" and 30", sadly.) I adhered the strips just below the lip of the step and stuck the sensors about a foot up the wall. Walking past the sensors in the dark now makes it very clear that there is a potential trip/fall hazard nearby. The sensors are magnetic and come with a little metal disc that you stick to the wall. When they need a recharge, just lift them off the magnetic mount and disconnect the led cable. Stick them on a charger and walk away for a couple hours. The sensors have about 100 degrees of motion detection from side to side. You do have to be approaching them diagonally or directly in front for them to trigger. They won't see you if you approach from the side. The night mode works great. In full dark, both strips will light up. Around dusk, only one will light up because that creates enough light to convince the other sensor it's still daylight. Keep that in mind if you want to place them as I did, with each sensor facing the other's light strip. Be very careful when peeling off the paper that covers the adhesive. It's easy to accidentally tear off the adhesive and then wonder why it doesn't stick. Suggestions for improvement: These light strips are BRIGHT. I would have happily accepted lower LED brightness or fewer LEDs per foot for a longer strip of lights. I know there's only so many LEDs that can be powered by one 5V source. A longer, dimmer strip would make a perfect motion sensitive night light for highlighting trip hazards.

Great but battery dies fast
I put these on my upper and lower cabinets recently- got like 8 packs of them. They were super easy to apply and get started. Itโs a really cool effect, especially for someone like me who hates โthe big lightโ, and it looks really great at night. I really like that theyโre rechargeable, and since thereโs a magnet on the back with adhesive, you just pop that sucker off and then putting it back is a breeze too. The only downsideโฆ. The battery life doesnโt last long. I have them set to the lowest amount of time (15 seconds after sensing motion) and after 2 or 3 days, Iโm charging them all again. Some die faster than others but I canโt tell why. For a quick easy lighting fix itโs great, but in the future Iโll be sure to save for a fancy remodel where I can have an outlet installed with lights I donโt have to ever charge. Still love them though!

1 of the 2 broke within weeks but seller replaced with new one
it's easy to install (peel off adhesive backing on led strip) & magnet for the motion sensor. But requires to charge it every 10-14days & each charging takes about 2 hrs the adhesive on the back of magnet doesn't seem strong enough to hold its weight, fell off already, i replaced with 3M ones. 1of the 2 stopped working after 2-3weeks, contacted seller & replaced 1 free & received within a week. Honorable seller & service. It's not too bright, warm white, perfect for underbed at night

Could be better
I really want to like the product, but there are some downfalls. The lights dim quickly (doesn't last needing a charge sooner) The adhesive doesn't hold I think these are a perfect product if you place it somewhere with less traffic as they will last longer and need less charging. I placed mine under some cabinets in the kitchen and they are great. But so much traffic and they turn on and off all day long. Needing me to recharge them every other day.

light strip
Wow. There isn't much positive to say about these light strips other than the return and refund was easy! Sadly it would have been such a cool look. They were easy to set up. The sticky strip worked well and I feel it would have probably stayed up. The problems lay with the sensor/battery unit. They didn't work. When I say "they" - I purchased 2. So, I charged them fully. Set one light strip up and plugged in. Note: the sensor/battery has a circular magnet to attach to wall or whatever you have to apply. I liked that as you need to recharge. But, the light came on and wouldn't turn off. Even though I had set for 15 seconds and night only. I charged up and tried again. Now the light won't come on at all. So because I had already stuck the strip up I thought I'd try the sensor/battery pack of the other set in case one was bad. Nope. Neither worked. One of the sensors would work in pitch black - but only about 2 out of 10 tries. All in all, the other reviews that stated the sensors were bad - were right. Dang it. Cause it would be so cool if they worked! Needless to say, I just returned them. Going to look for some with better quality. Here's to hoping. In the meantime, I would NOT buy these.

good motion sensing
I was looking for a tool cabinet lighting solution, so tried these. I am very happy with these lights. I was afraid the motion sensors would not pick up motion so close, ie: within a foot or two, but they do. I plued small strips of plastic so I could hand the sensors, and put 4 in this cabinet, one in the drawer, and one in each shelf. They work great. every week or two, i just pop out the ends and take home and recharge, then take back to work the next morning, and they light up my tool cabinet for another week or two. The adhesive was good enough to stick to the semi rough wood, without falling. I did staple them tho, just to be sure. I ended up with one or two staples thru the strip, but the lights still worked great. love these for a battery free, motion sensing, easy lighting solution for my mobile tool cabinet.

Bright and just what was needed
These lights are excellent! You get 2 sets in the pack - one I've put over the top of a door in a guest room to ensure guests can see where they're going at night without having to put the main light on, and the second set has gone around the bottom of a cabinet in a bathroom. You can get these LED strips in different lengths, (I had the 1.5 metre ones), and they're easy to set up. Peel off the backing on the strip and then press it down to where you want them to go. There's a short cable from the end of the LED strip, which goes into the battery box, (takes 4 x AAA batteries, not included), this unit also has a self adhesive strip on it so that it can be stuck in place. There's 2 cable clips for each set too. There's a small switch on the battery unit to flip between manual and auto, the motion sensor picks up well and the light stays on for around 45 seconds, (at a guess). The manual setting is either on all the time or off. (There's a push button on the front of the unit which controls this). The lights are a bright cold, white and there's no dimming capacity, (that I can see). You can also cut the LED strip to size using marked sections for this, which I did with the one I attached around the base of the cabinet in the bathroom. I'd definitely buy these again, but perhaps would go for a warm white if there was a choice.
