GQF HOVA-BATOR Combo 1602N Incubator and 1611 Egg Turner

I have made my share of home made foam coolers, but this think works much better. The auto turner eliminateds rememering to turn the eggs each day, also temperature stays more consistant, since you are not opening to incy to turn eggs. This icubatorworks well if you house stays a steady ambient temp. It doesn't work so well if it doesn't. I used to heat my home with a wood stove, and had a very low hatch rate. We now hve heat pumps, and as a result the heat is steadier throughout the whole house, making it easier for the incy to maintain a steady temp. My last hatch I had of 19 of 20 hatch!

The egg turner and incubator worked really well, but you will want to buy a thermometer that shows humidity. I only had to fill the third tray for the 1st 18 days and the 4th tray for lockdown. I think if I would have filled the 1st tray like they suggested I wouldn't have as good of success. Also, thermostat needed to be adjusted often. If the room you have it in does not stay a perfect temp then you will constantly be adjusting it. Overall I got 15 out of 18 eggs to hatch and those three just never developed so it wasn't the incubator.

We hatched a great batch of chicks. My only complaints are the poor quality of the thermometer it comes with and the lack of a temperature gauge on the unit itself. Too much guess work for my liking.

Because i put in eight [8] geese eggs i followed the instructions and not one egg is hatched no eggs hatched
