BLOCCS Waterproof Cast Shower Cover Leg - #AFL76 - Adult Full Leg

While recovering from an incredibly stupid leg injury, I've had to wear a lower leg soft cast that can't get wet. It is currently 11 bazillion degrees where I live, and showering is quite important. Other cast covers are plastic with some elastic over them, and back in the day when I had to wear a full length leg cast for weeks, they didn't work well. I saw this silicone thing and thought... that can't possibly work, but here, take my money. It's pretty much a one size fits all thing and looks like a wet suit for a hammerhead shark... and once again, I thought... this isn't going to end well. Call me shocked and very surprised to slip that thing on and have it literally adhere to my upper leg comfortably, but confidently tight. Since it is one size fits all, it's HUGE, so be careful getting into the shower, it can be a bit slippery and there's extra stuff flopping around, but no leaks. NONE, perfectly dry! I towel it off, then hang it on the towel rack to dry for the next day. Lightweight, comfortable, and best of all, no leaks at all. It's a bit "fragile" so be careful not to puncture it, but overall, this is a life saver. Easy on, easy off, easy to dry, folds up and goes back into the baggie it arrived in. If you need a leg to remain dry, this is the cover for you. Instructions say you can swim in it but caution not to keep it on for extended periods of time because your leg will sweat and then your cast gets wet and then doctors will glare at you.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had a skin condition on my ankle that I was not allowed to go into the water, but we were going on vacation so I purchased this. I was very skeptical that this would work because I know we are in the pool probably 5 to 6 hours a day and my leg would be submerged. I cannot say enough great things about this! It worked amazing! It never leaked and I wore it for over a week. And my leg was submerged for many hours every day and it never ripped or leaked. Yes it fit tight around my thigh, but it needs to so water doesn’t leak in. It never left any marks like it wasn’t that tight like I’ve read some reviews. It worked perfect!

Works well. I bought the full leg cover for a series of skin grafts. I am 6 foot tall, 225lbs, size 12 shoe (mens). It fit well. Used in the shower only. Kept me perfectly dry. Recommend.

Excellent item. Saved my granddaughter's vacation as she was able to get in the pool, as well as shower. Was skeptical, but it worked.

I was glad to have this product available to me as I had to use it for 14 straight days. However, it did leak twice as I stood directly under the strong shower spray which forced water down the leg opening. The manufacturer should reinforce the smaller opening which clings to your leg and make it at least two inches long instead of the approximate one inch. It did slide down my leg a couple of times, but I mostly sat on a shower stool with my leg elevated against the shower wall to help keep the water out. I also wrapped a towel around my foot and put a plastic bag over it, securing it with rubber bands for added protection. I'm glad that I did. I would recommend this product with the caveat to use common sense and use double protection if you can.

works great and seals great, but if you have an injury at the lower part of your leg buy the short adult one. the long adult one, is super long, it’s about 4 feet long.

I don’t know why it’s taken me 3 knee surgeries to look for something to keep my leg dry but here we are. I’m kicking myself (with my good leg of course) for using a garbage bag and painters tape for the past surgeries. Currently I’m in an immobilizer brace and an ace bandage from my toes to my hooha; life is pretty uncomfortable right now. I purchased this cast cover because though I’m short, a trash bag was not going to be long enough to over my whole leg-even the contractor bags. This thing is an absolute life saver! I’m able to remove my immobilizer so I just have to cover the ace bandage but I’m sure if I had to cover it, this thing would stretch right over it no problem. This is the only one that I could find that would accommodate my larger than “average” thighs. It goes right on, stretches no problem, then snaps right on my leg and magically zero water gets in! Literally not one drop! It also is super comfortable, doesn’t leave marks on my leg from being tight, and seems very durable. If you’re having leg surgery, broke your leg, or need to keep dry for literally any reason, this is going to save your sanity!

This plastic boot claims to be water proof for swimming. After putting a plastic bag over my foot cast and wearing this plastic boot water still got in . As a result I had to go back and have the cast removed and put a new one .

After my garbage bag and duct tape setup failed me, I turned to the Bloccs Waterproof Cast Cover, and it delivered. The seal is tight and reliable, and while putting it on is easiest with a second person, it can be managed solo with a little patience. My only gripe is the sizing: at 5’6”, this thing is comically large on me, so be prepared for some extra coverage. And yes, the price stings a bit for what is essentially a glorified bag, but after trying the DIY alternatives, I can confirm it’s the best option on the market and genuinely worth the investment.
