9679AM AIRBELT K2 Kombi Canister Vacuum with 7-Year Motor Warranty

Over the past 30 years, I've bought many kinds of vacuums, from the most expensive to the cheapest: the Kirby upright (sold door to door by a friend), the Rainbow (which is supposed to capture the dirt in a water tank), several cheap Dirt Devils (several, because they don't last), and the Dyson bagless (which I've also reviewed, and felt was a complete disaster). Not to mention numerous shop vacs. I currently also own and use a Kenmore Progressive, which is also a pretty great deal and has served me well. So, I'm a bit of a vacuum cleaner nut, trying to find the perfect vac. I can say the Sebo 9679 wins the prize overall. - It's quiet. Very, very quiet - which makes vacuuming all the more pleasant. - Great suction that doesn't fade as the bag fills. - Very light and maneuverable. - Small, so it's much easier to store. You can hide it behind a door. - Simple. - Reliable (I've had it for a year now). The floor attachment shown does a fine job on hard wood and carpets. My main peeve is cat hair which poses no problem for this machine. (If you want powered attachments, you'll need to go up a model and pay a little more.) One nice feature is what they call the Air Belt. This means that the exhaust is gently distributed around the whole machine, so you don't get a jet of air kicking up dust and dirt behind you before you can get to it. Nice! The Air Belt also protects walls and furniture from bumps as you pull it around. The German engineering is evident: it's a solid, powerful unit and everything "just works" such as the bag changing and the way the hose and attachments snap together. If you want efficiency, reliability, a more pleasant vacuum job and less work overall, you'll love the Sebo. It's just a darn nice machine, a little BMW of vacuums. I've had a lot of vacs I hated, some that were okay, but never one as good as this.

Before buying this vacuum, I scoured various opinions on Reddit and a few video reviews on Youtube for reliable data. After reading a number of posts, it seemed as if this specific version, the K2 Kombi, would not handle carpet that well due to relatively low suction, but otherwise was good. After using it a number of times now, it is as others stated. The few rugs that are about here are a bit annoying to clean. Of course, there isn't dedicated carpet around where I live, so this works out overall and I expected this ahead of time. If you're uncertain, only consider this if you have mostly non-carpeted floors. The reasons to consider this specific vacuum: -The main body rolls along on wheels really well, so the only real weight you would feel when using it is the handle, which of course, is extremely lightweight. -The noise is sooo quiet when using the K2. In comparison, there's a rechargable cordless vacuum I've heard when visiting a friend's place. The thing was dangerously loud! Even wearing hearing protection didn't stop the high-pitched howling from annoying me. -This is significantly more affordable than the variant that can handle carpets. So long as this vacuum lasts into the years, this will have been worth it.

The vacuum suction is great and it did a great job on carpets. It is light weight and easy to transport up stairs. It is super quiet and the bag does a great job keeping the air clean. The Kombi floor nozzle provided is not the same as the one on the listing picture though. This Kombi nozzle scraps against hardwood floors no matter what mode the lever is placed in. I would not recommend this floor tool. I contacted both the seller and Sebo directly. Both told me that I am better off purchasing a Parquet tool for hardwood floors.

I've been searching for a vacuum that is designed for hardwood floors and this Sebo is it. The nozzle glides easily over the floor yet has great suction which you can adjust with a touch of your foot. The power cord is 50 feet long so you can do a large area without having to unplug and replug. The canister is light enough to follow you around without a problem and the motor is very quiet. It was very easy to assemble. You almost don't need the directions. We do have a few large area rugs that are hand knotted and somewhat delicate and rather expensive. They certainly cannot stand up to the upright vacuum I used to have which started to destroy the knotted design. This Sebo is gentle on my hand knotted rugs and doesn't damage the various heights of the knots yet cleans quite nicely. Overall, I am quite pleased with my Sebo and the bonus is that the price is reasonable and you get excellent German workmanship to boot!

It is easy to use! picks up almost everything and is easily stored. not bulky like the big vacuums. update, After using it for over half a year, I can't begin to explain how wonderful this vacuum is. When I first reviewed it I wrote it doesn't pick up the real small stuff because I didn't realize that you can adjust the vacuuming strength by turning the knob. it gets pretty powerful, but can also be used with moderate strength in order to keep the noise down (it is very quiet). I have guinea pigs and sometime my wife lets them run on the carpet, this vacuum picks up their hair and dropping easily (this vacuum has a carpet setting which helps it get the stuff that normally gets stuck or a little clingy out). overall very happy with the purchase, be aware that it uses vacuum bags, but I've only changed my first bag after three months of using it(I use it every day just so you get a rough idea).

The description of this vacuum says it is recommended for "Hard Floor." All it does on hard floors and the carpet is move around dust or debris rather than sucking it into the vacuum. (I used a brand new filter., which as others have noted, is not cheap.) The dust, hair, etc. that collects on the brushes on the floor setting are virtually impossible to remove from the brushes. The carpet setting simply shoves around dust bunnies, etc. I end up picking up debris by hand and feeding it into the vacuum. I am so frustrated that I will no longer use the Sebo 9679AM Airbelt K2 Kombi Canister Vacuum. What a waste of money!! On the positive side, I like how quiet it is.

So far I am pretty happy with this vacuum but it was missing the upholstery nozzle that it said was included. Finding a replacement nozzle is not easy!! It is also difficult to figure out what optional attachments will work on this model! Also, the Kombi nozzle that it comes with it scrapes across my tile floors so I have to use it on the carpet setting to avoid the scraping sound! Not great engendering for a high quality vacuum from Germany. Overall it’s better than any other vacuum I have had since I have never spent more than $150 on a vacuum before, I am seeing why higher quality is worth the price.

This Sebo Vacuum cleaner ROCKS! Whoever invented the bag less sweeper and said it was perfect for allergy sufferers must have never had allergies or knew of anyone with allergies. Emptying the bag less is NOT good for allergy suffers. The dust flys back into your face whilst emptying it, how is that good for allergy sufferers! Sorry I digress. I decided to get a BAGGED canister vac for the 2nd floor. After reading a ton of reviews I settled on the Sebo, German made you can not go wrong. Its very quiet, gets under my low bed frames. It works great on my flat area rugs, as well as my hardwood floors. Lightweight, the wand works well on my drapes and those hard to reach cob webs in the corner of the ceiling. The retractable cord is worth its weight in gold, no more tripping over it. You can increase the suction for hardwood floors and that also works well. I haven’t had to change the bag yet, but Ive had the sweeper for 2 1/2 months and its run every week on 3 rooms. I just can’t say enough good and how much I enjoy the Sebo K2, it is a joy to use. And when that dirty bag less sweeper brakes down on the 1st floor, it too will be replaced with a BAGGED Sebo.

This is the first "high quality" vaccuum I've bought and it's clear that this is well worth the extra price tag over the cheaper ones sold in a lot of big box stores. This was very well packaged and the individual items were all of much higher build quality than anything else I've used so far. I was very surprised how small it is compared to older canister vaccuums and also about half as loud. It came with a filter already installed and a spare, which should last quite a while. The included instruction manual has a section that describes in good detail how to maintain this and I have no doubt that with proper maintenance, this will last a very long time. The K2 does not come with the motorized brush for carpets, however it has no issues with our carpet since it is not very thick and tall, which was my biggest worry before I tried this out. My only regret is to have waited this long before buying it!

Very happy with this Sebo vacuum. It is shockingly powerful for its size, it is also rather quiet given its power (which you can control with the on/off button which also acts as a dial for min/max power). It is tiny an easily stored or carried. While it is slightly expensive (there are many cheaper vacuums out there) when you consider that this can work well for many years (10+ under warranty) then it actually comes out cheaper in the end. The only tiny misgiving is the asymmetrical position of the vacuum hose on the side vs in the center. This can cause a bit of a wobble wobble if you're pulling or trying to maneuver it, especially around corners or obstacles. But this is just a nitpick as it is not really that annoying once you remember it has this quirk. The other slight negative is the cost of the vacuum bags which of course, you must purchase to be able to use it. But I should also add in the same line of thinking that the bags and the vacuum are simply AMAZING when it comes to filtering out odour and dust particles. I am continuously surprised to not smell *anything* when vacuuming. There is no cloud of dust or musty smell. It just vacuums. Before this vacuum I had an old vacuum that would belch out a cloud of very fine dust particles and leave a musty smell all around the house after I was done. Given the fact that this is German made, has a whopping 10 year warranty (if purchased from authorized dealer, which this seller is AFAIK) and given the performance so far. If you have a house with NO PETS, and very little low pile carpets to no carpets at all, and want to buy the very best vacuum for the money - one which you will have to give away in your will - then this is the vacuum for you.

This is a great little machine. Plenty of power and quiet and very light. . This vacuum is perfect if you have mainly hardwood floors and a few rugs. If you have mainly carpets you will need to upgrade the head which is expensive. I Iike the fact the vacuum has a 10year warranty. It shows that Sebba stand behind their engineering!
