I've adjusted and readjusted this real and it still backlashes on average two out of ten casts. If you tighten it down where it will not back lash it only casts about eight or ten yards depending on lure weight. I've owned lots of bait casters in my 43 years cheap and expensive but this reel I would not recommend. I purchased for my 12 year old to keep him from using my expensive poles but he has gone back to wanting to use mine due to the back lash issues of this reel.

Smooth casting and retrieving, so far so good, no binding, catches the fish!

I loved the smooth feel of the retrieve. It feels like some of my more expensive reels. It looks good too and casts a mile. Great product for the price.

this reel is inexpensive but it does not work the beaks only work if they are on max and I have only casted it in my yard and the front plastic broke off not good
