After oiling or before? How do you smooth it for finish?** A: Application before oiling is preferred otherwise Bona Gap Master may not stick to surface. Smoothing can be done after application with a wet trowel, a wet sponge, or even a wet finger.. For application on oiled or pre-lacquered surface, slightly sand the areas where the sealant has to be applied. **Q: Is this ok for laminate flooring** A: Yes , I’ve used on laminate! **Q: can this be used on stick down Vinyl floor tiles? attempting camper van conversion and few joints separated over night.** A: Good Morning, Interesting question, it is designed for use on wood or wall substrates, however it may work for your vinyl floor tiles, I could give no guarantees. The product is UV stable so will not break down due to exposure to sunlight. That said it is designed for internal usage and does not come with the anti-fungal properties that products designed for damp/wet areas would have. This wipes off with water when applying and looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for the purpose, chose black for natural effect *by S***6 on 3 May 2025* Great product, we first tried without applying masking tape on the floorboards and it made a mess. We then taped around the gaps in between floorboards,and applied the product and it turned out neat and clean. We chose black colour, so after the floorboards have been sealed with this product, it still looks natural and if the gap is still there, which is perfect for a natural rustic look. The only one thing I noticed is that it seems to shrink a bit over time, and when fully cured we noticed cracks and gaps here and there. Which we will go over . But overall great product and really recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for filling gaps between wooden floors *by D***E on 8 April 2020* Great product for filling in gaps you get when a wooden floor becomes a bit loose. Easiest way to apply this is to use masking tape either side, then I took the nozzle off and pumped it onto my finger so that I could get more down into the gap giving it a better finish! Remove masking tape after about an hour, looks amazing!
