Can this product be used indefinitely or should be curtailed after a period of time or frequency?

Most folks who begin to use Pyrithione Zinc products do so for the remainder of their life.  That's because skin conditions like SD and severe dandruff are rarely cured.  The Zinc Pyrithione is used to keep the skin conditions in check.  That said, you might be able to reduce frequency of use once your condition is under control.

Based on scientific data studied for more than 50 years, the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (an EU Commission) and the US Food & Drug Administration considers that Zinc Pyrithione, when used in a concentration up to 2.0% as an anti-dandruff agent in rinse-off hair care products, is safe for the consumer.

Pregnant or breastfeeding patients should seek the advice of their health professional before using over-the-counter (OTC) drugs.

Question 2

Do you have to do a special rinse with this bar? Like other shampoo bars I’ve tried, I have to rinse with apple cider vinegar & don’t want to have to.

This bar is pure Syndet.  Syndet is a blended word made by combining the words “synthetic” and “detergent.”  With DermaHarmony we're using high-end plant-based syndet ingredients.  When hard water and soap are mixed, the magnesium/calcium ions react with soap molecules and forms a solid material called a precipitate.  This is the stuff that needs to be washed away with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV).  Since this bar contains NO SOAP, there is NOT a precipitate problem.  You will not need to rinse with an ACV or re-shampoo.  Only soap-based or hybrid soap/syndet cause issues.  Pure Syndet bars do not.

Under product description it says "the bar is sulfate-free with a ph of 6." under features and details it says "the ph of this bar is 5.1." which?
