Mira Showers Honesty Dual Mixer Shower ERD Square Bar Valve Mixer Shower Chrome 1.1901.002

I decided to go with the Mira Showers Honesty Dual Mixer, which has proven to be a good choice. The product was packaged and protected well when delivered, ensuring everything was in pristine condition. While I didn’t install the unit myself, I had the builder who was refurbishing my bathroom handle the installation. For those planning their layout, the main bar with the two handles measures 29 cm in width and protrudes 11 cm from the wall to the front fascia edge, while the overhead shower head reaches out 59 cm to its outer edge. The functionality is very straightforward, as I demonstrated in my video, with the left handle controlling the water flow. Depending on which way you twist it, the water is diverted to either the large overhead shower or the handheld unit, though it is worth noting that you cannot have both running simultaneously. The right-hand handle is dedicated to controlling the hot and cold temperature settings. The handles are easy to operate, even when your hands are wet and soapy. The performance has been a significant upgrade for us. Our previous shower didn't provide a very good experience, so I actually tested our water flow at the kitchen sink beforehand and found we were getting 7 litres of hot water and 11 litres of cold water per minute. Despite these modest figures, this Mira shower delivers a really lovely showering experience from our combi boiler that is much better than our old setup. The handheld unit, which features a hose that is slightly less flexible than the old metal type, but it is much easier to wipe down and keep clean. Overall, this shower looks and feels good quality, and most importantly, it provides a nice shower.

Good quality product with clear instructions. High water flow. Worth paying for a branded product over a cheep imitation that dose not last, certainly not something you want to have to replace

As mentioned it’s a decent shower and works well but some of the fittings are plastic and a bit cheap. Fitting was a straight forward straight swap with 3/4 inch bsp and 150 mm pipe centers. I had to reuse the old pipe covers as the supplied covers were plastic and too deep. I also swapped out the silver PVC hand shower pipe for a metal one. The riser height was different so new holes needed drilling and used a Heritage Brass chrome mirror screw cap to conceal the old screw holes - much easier than fitting a new tile and looks great. Mira support are great. Overall pretty good with a few mods.

I did a lot of research generally on showers before choosing this Mira shower. I needed a trusted brand and refused to buy another cheap pile of nonsense made in China that lasts only a few months. Its a lovely looking shower, has 2 settings, and although the force is not as powerful as my last cheap shower, this clearly is a better build quality and you definitely get what you pay for. I decided not to use the ring to keep the hose attached to the riser bar as I didn't want to be restricted or have a short hose as other reviews mentioned. Having not done this it still looks great. Dreadful shower. The hose is cheap plastic that does not bend easy. There is a catch on the mixer tap. You can only turn the temperature side a quarter turn. This means the maximum temperature is about 2 degrees higher than the minimum temperature. You cannot turn it to a cold shower and the next day to a hot shower. You have to keep calibrating the temperature knob but no matter where you calibrate the temperature the min and max is only 2 degrees difference. Absolutely dreadful. We had to take the knob off and drill the catch off. That way we can alter the temperature. Also the shower head sits to the side of the vertical bar so if you have the shower in the bath the head is not in the centre, it is on the side. Awful, just awful.

This is the absolute best shower we have ever had. Nice and modern and heats instantly .it has two heads which is great if you don't want to wash your hair everytime.the hose is straight rather than ribbed and this is definitely cleaner and more hygienic as you don't get the soap scum build up.very happy with this shower and font think we will use anything else from now on
