had hoped there would be conversations, but it is a good book for me.

For the English speaker this may look like a book of words and phrases to use with your girlfriend or boyfriend. That it is not. The Thai word cai means heart by itself but combined with other words has lots of meanings useful for all kinds of situations.It is also important to note that, like all Speak like a Thai books, this is for additional vocabulary for someone who already knows a bit Thai and will not be useful as a phrase book because it lacks structure or an index to quickly find what you need.The most basic of these expressions like cai dii and dii cai will be in any Thai language course, but there are also a lot of useful expressions that are hard to find elsewhere.The difficulty level of this is about the same as volume 1 and 2, quite a bit below volume 3, and is complementary in that there is little overlap between them.
