Those can be hard to find in "women's" handbag styles. I've been looking for something to throw on my wrist that will hold what I usually have on me such as my phone, cash, a few cards, earbuds, compact, nail clippers, ipod, measuring tape, etc. This is working out perfectly. A cash pocket inside - why don't they make these for women's bags?! I don't like having to pull out a separate wallet, it's too much fumbling at a drive through or a cash register. An outside pocket for my phone. An inside pocket for small stuff. A zipper that comes down on each side a bit so the bag opens well. And that glorious strap across the bottom for slipping your hand through to carry the bag with or without the wrist strap - again, why not put these on women's bags? The fabric is tightly woven, the hardware is sturdy and the zippers open smoothly. I got the black canvas and it is not a strong black, more like a very dark charcoal like the photo, which I love. For the price this bag cannot be beat.The only thing I would change is for the inside lining to be a light color rather than black. I will never understand why manufacturers use black linings in bags. It was a little larger than I wanted, but it's sturdy and stands up to a good deal of punishment (spills, being stepped on or sat on). I found the hand strap on the back to be an added bonus - maybe it was in the description and I missed it, but sometimes it's nice to be able to slip my hand into it to hold onto the bag. The construction is sturdy and the zippers may outlast my and my daughter's lifetime - they're that good. And no one gave me the bag for free for this review, nor was I paid or given an incentive to write this.
