Oh man, I was so, so happy as soon as I put this in my mouth. I love black licorice and I'm consistently disappointed in various black licorice treats. It seems that again and again, no matter what I buy, hoping to capitalize on the unique and magnificent flavor of black licorice, I am consistently disappointed by products that seem to serve no other purpose than to dilute the wonderful flavor rather than find some way to complement it and put it in the forefront. I mean, there's nothing wrong with black jellybeans. They're one of the greatest candies ever invented. But they haven't changed since I was a kid. So I just wanted something new. After many disappointing tries, I finally found a product that delivers. I'm reminded of that scene in The Office where they're playing the silent game and Kevin breaks the silence with an "Ohh Yeaah". Just SO good! Rich and creamy with that delicious bite right up front. And a smooth, creamy feel and flavor. One of the best licorice candies I've ever tasted in my life.

My favorite Toffee!! If you are a Licorice lover like me, these are to die for. Creamyness to the flavor. I will continue to buy these over and over.

Best licorice toffee ever

I expected these to be well, toffee. But they are far more like saltwater taffy than toffee. Thank you so much to the reviewer who suggested freezing the them though! They are very tasty indeed when frozen. However, the licorice flavor is rather mild for my liking but I chalk that up to the creamy texture of the candy. A fun little bonus I found, these don’t seem to spike my blood sugar like regular licorice twists. Overall, I would buy again but they aren’t the best thing I’ve ever had.

I wish I didn't buy these because now I'm addicted to them...lol (j/k)! These are so delicious. I treat them like hard candy and I truly enjoy the taste! Oddly they relax and calm me. You only need one or two and you're satisfied. I also am very happy that they are individually wrapped. Not very sticky like others have mentioned. Thank you Walkers and of course Amazon!

This is such a surprising and delicious black licorice toffee candy! It’s buttery toffee flavor make the black licorice flavor more mild and it’s a delicious treat! I really have to order multiple bags because once opened I can’t stop.

I got some Callard & Bowser licorice toffee in London in the late 80s and never forgot it. I was so sad when they quit making it. I like regular licorice a lot and i even really like European salt licorice. I was excited to find the Walker's brand to replace C&B. The package arrived just a few days after ordering. I've already eaten half the bag just today! The flavor is just what I was hoping for. The toffees are a lot firmer than what I remember of C&B but if you just suck on the toffee for a few minutes it softens up nicely. These are not a replacement for regular licorice, just a variation on it. Don't buy if you are looking for an intense licorice flavor.

This would have received 5 stars as they are great, the shocker was not paying attention to the shipping cost which was crazy expensive. If you reduced the shipping cost this would be a regular order.

Absolutely love these licorice toffees. They’re a bit hard at first, but once they warm up they turn into that classic chewy toffee texture that’s so satisfying. The flavor is rich and creamy and the licorice adds a really nice twist. My only wish is that the licorice flavor were a little stronger—I’d happily take an extra punch of it. That said, they’re still super yummy as they are. Honestly, I can’t buy these too often because once the bag is open, I can’t stop eating them. If you like chewy toffee and licorice, these are a must-try.
