Paramount 3D PETG (Iron Red) 1.75mm 1kg Filament [IRRL30111815G]

I bought this filament because I liked the color, and I had some struggles with poor adhesion but I eventually made it work. I started off with the wrong temperature (200C nozzle / 60C heated bed, because I'm used to printing with PLA), which made a big mess. I realized my mistake and printed a temperature tower (using the plugin for Cura) and that went OK, not great - see photo.I had better luck at 240C nozzle / 70C heated bed, with additional retraction (7mm) and higher speed (60mm/s). Still, the detail on the top layer isn't great. I ran out of time and had to stop experimenting with it, so I don't know if there's more to be learned about how to make this work well.In short, give yourself some extra time to experiment in the temperature range that's actually printed on the spool: 230-260C.The color is excellent: an extremely rich, vibrant red, shiny but not metallic, and not translucent at all. I printed a hollow voronoi-patterned heart and it looks great; even thin sections are opaque and are the same color as solid sections.

This is the only filament I have been able to find that lends itself to military replicas. The fact that a lot of there filaments are military colors like Military green and Khaki. But my favorite is Primordial Earth and Jet Fighter Blue. I plan on lots of projects with there PTEG in the future as well as dabble with there PLA and HIPS.

Not quite the color of my Milwaukee tools but close enough. Printing clips and mounts with this roll. Great PETG color and great experience so far.

And the quality of the PETG is also excellent. Good Filament!

Excellent filament. Color is fantastic, print quality looks great, filament was even with no noticeable variation through the roll so far. I will absolutely be ordering this again.

Fantastic filament, some of the best I've worked so far. Great color, prints beautifully, and provides a strong finished part, I only wish they had more colors.
