The screen background colour can make it difficult to read some menu items but the latest free upgrade to the Pro 15 version gives a choice of light to dark backgrounds which helps. I have mostly used Final Cut Pro X on Macs but wanted a similarly priced program for a PC. I think this might be it with some of its useful and easy-to-use, commonly used features which to me are less irritating than the ones on other Magix apps. One warning to anyone downloading: make sure the email address used for registering with Magix is the same as the one Amazon uses for you or there could be difficulty outputting clips. I made this mistake and had to delete the program then download it again (using the same key) from Magix and change the email address. ### ⭐⭐ Performance issues hold this back from being great! *by G***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 April 2018* I have used Vegas Pro for a while now and it really has it's ups and downs. It is a great piece of software but what really holds it back is its performance. Sometimes when importing videos, for example, the program will hang for ages and then only after attempting to close the program will it crash. My PC is capable of running this program well 16GB of RAM, GTX 1060 Graphics card, but after researching how to make Vegas pro run smoother, the majority of people suggest that you disable the video card processing. Which seems counterproductive and having to wait so often when importing can decrease productivity massively. Sometimes the playback of files in the preview could be laggy as well. This mainly seemed to occur with .mov files. I have tried other video editing software such as Cyberlink Powerdirector on trial and it worked absolutely fine with importing files and it seems to hang a lot less, so I'll be moving to 16 Ultra. This software has great potential but is really let down by how it runs...EDIT: Turns out Vegas 14 doesn't support .mov files and that would be why it was running so terribly... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recommend product and the seller - fair and correct *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2017* Due to my absence from home, I have just recently activated the product.
