After a few international trips, they hold up very well, easy to fold and unfold, compact and packable (even in backpack), steady for intended use, well made and lightweigh. Very helpful on terrains that require a steady stick for balance and prevent slippage. Came with different tips and easily interchangeable. Locking mechanism is secure enough for normal use.

These trekking poles are lightweight, sturdy, and easy to adjust quickly. They helped make longer hikes feel more comfortable and stable, especially on uneven terrain. The collapsible design is great for travel and storage. Solid quality for the price.

Light weight, easy to assemble and disassemble. Comfortable on your hands and I like the wrist straps. The locking part is easy to use also. It really helps with my balance and is a good tool for my walking. It's a good buy, especially since I will be traveling overseas.

I had only a day of research, before this purchase. They pack separately, so I guess you could use one only if you wished. They collapse in seconds, when done, and pop back together lickety split, both, as easily as one clamp to loosen. My trip included some steeper hiking with gradual inclines and declines, but these stood up like a champ, remained comfy on my grip, never feeling greasy or sweaty despite sunscreen, and it can be restful to have the wriststraps to let go of your grip occasionally when resting. There are some versions with cork, but these were not them, and just fine. These were approved by my two companions who used their more expensive version on the Camino...twice.

Very nice poles! I was surprised that they are as nice as they are for the excellent price. I like them better than my previous telescoping poles, as they are much more compact to carry and you can easily set and re-set the length you desire for your current terrain and use. The poles are very easy and quick to deploy, however pushing the button in to retract them again is not quite as easy, especially if your hands are a bit cold. The rest of the retraction process is super easy. And, once folded up, they come with a nice velcro cord strip that keeps them tight and tidy. I really like that the poles come in two separate storage bags, as you may want to carry only one pole on some outings, not two and the bags give you the option to have your pole in a bag on the inside or outside of your pack, which keeps things more organized and neat. I put the various pole tips (very nice tips that came with the poles) in a separate mesh bag (sort of see-through) that I attached directly to the two-bag system because I could see that pulling out the poles could inadvertently pull out a tip at the same time and you may not notice, especially if it fell down into snow. Therefore, having the tips in a separate small bag made a lot of sense to me. It would also enable me to take quick inventory of my tips to make sure everything was in place when changing them out. I have worked on search and rescue for 19 years now, and over the years, I have become very aware of how to manage and put systems in place so gear is not ever lost. I want to spend my time and dollars upgrading gear, not replacing it. I cannot attest to how rugged these tips are as I have not yet put them through the test of time and use, however they feel quite substantial and durable, not soft or easily dented. The grips are very comfortable and the wrist straps are easily adjusted. I like the material the wrist straps a made from as well. I have not taken these poles through the heat of summer yet, so I cannot speak to the grip in hot weather, but they are super comfortable in winter, as the material does not get super cold and has just the right degree of soft to prevent fatigue and firmness to give stability of use. I guess the only thing about these poles is the branding. They have not one, but two logos on the poles. I would prefer less labeling and more solid blue color, which would make the poles more pleasing to the eye. While aesthetics are not important to the function, as an artist, I guess I cannot help myself.

Just received my Covacure trekking poles and out of the box they seem very good quality. Set up was pretty easy; I've never had folding trekking poles so took me 100 seconds to set them up instead of 20 seconds the second time. The connection cord between the sections is actually a small (about 1/16th) cable, not a bungee cord, so should last well. One initial dislike is I would have rather had one bag slightly larger for both poles instead of two storage bags. However, I was able to fit both poles in one bag, but without the mud basket or large feet attachments. WEIGHT: Both poles, one storage bag, and standard straight pole rubber ends: the weight was 1 pound 5 ounces. Going on a 35 mile hike this weekend, we shall see how they hold up. :) ***UPDATED*** Completed 37.5 miles with a light pack (42 lbs) in flat east Texas and these poles performed just great. Lost one of the rubber ends but I think those are for pavement and not trail. No issues at all! Updated from four to five stars for the quality for the price.

This review is designed for anyone wondering whether these poles are as good as the $100+ name brand poles you can chose. The short answer is NO of course. And if you want to know exactly why, read the Cons below. Really hope this helps. I bought these poles for the compact folded size (only 14 inches) and the cheap price. I wondered if they could really work for my uses hiking in fairly isolated park areas, sometimes in snow and mud, and ocassionally as cross country ski poles. I DO recommend them for light use and for those who can deal with the disadvantages, but I decided to return them. Pros: - Super compact - Great value for the money - Velcro strap built-in, it would be hard to lose them - Extra rubber tips - Individual net bags for each pole - Handle straps are comfortable, secure, and easily adjustable once you figure out how the little jamb works - Reasonably light weight - Very good product for light use in walking and hiking on safe terrain, and requiring compact storage. Cons: - This product is not suitable for moderately remote or extreme trekking and mountain contexts where dependence on high quality, tested gear is required for personal safety. Here’s why: - Pole sections can come apart under tension. The plastic “flick-lock” clasp is not securely attached to the upper pole, it is only glued to it (deal-breaker!) - Therefore, the glued upper section can be easily pulled out of the plastic clasp (with about 5 lbs of force.) So when hiking, if you get the tip stuck and jerk on the pole instinctively to dislodge it, the lower sections can separate from the handle section. Once the lower pole sections are separated from the handle section, it is free, and could fall down the mountain or into the mud, etc. causing you to lose your footing, or leaving you on an icy mountain with only one remaining pole. - If you weigh the poles down with enough weight (~ 20 lbs) the upper pole section compresses and shortens the pole - even when the clasps are thumb-screwed to their tightest position. They aren’t designed to hold the weight you would exert when you are down in the dirt or mud or snow and you need to press hard on the poles to get yourself up. They will compress to their shortest length, and only then hold securely (the lower three sections are super secure because they are not adjustable). For some people this might be okay, but the unexpected slippage can be dangerous. For me, it’s better to choose a pole that can hold the weight (and thus its length) in moments of urgency.
