Hampton Bay Universal Wink Enabled White Ceiling Fan Premier Remote Control

When we purchased our current house I decided to make it a smart home. We have lots of fans and most are controlled using zwave but they used two independent circuits to the mounting box for light and fan. For my kids rooms and guest bedroom, however, there is only 1 circuit and the fans used dumb remotes. I finally found these babies and since I also use zigbee in my Home Assistant ( I don't have a Wink hub) I figured I'd give them a try. For the record, they work perfectly in HA using the "ZHA" component. One small drawback is that one of the speeds (medium high) is not selectable in HA but I believe this is true in Wink as well. You can even select the "Breeze" mode.The biggest complaint however is that mine did not come with a wall mount for the remote. The remote I replaced was much wider so I can't really use its holder for the new one.Besides that I'm very happy with the remote and am kicking myself for not buying three when they were cheap. I only bought two. :-(

Sometimes the fan doesn't respond to the remote. Getting it to connect to my smarthub took 15 triesNow that it's connected, I noticed that it only really works in one speed. Like you can hear that the controller changes something, but the speed is always on high. And yes the fan is a 3 speed fan

I actually thought I was just purchasing the remote as a replacement for the one we lost, but now I understand why it was so expensive. It comes with the receiver too. Which it turns out is actually an upgrade from the receiver that came with the fan because it is able to be controlled through an app. If the first one had that, I wouldn't have needed a replacement 😁 great product though! If I ever find the other remote, I can use it on another fan unit.

My dog ate the original remote and we couldn’t find it anywhere! This one has been a perfect replacement. It’s missing the reverse feature but I can live with that!

Not recommended. Crap product. Wink is terrible and now they want to pay monthly fee to be able to use it.

I installed two of these into existing Harbor Breeze fans. Installation was easy and they worked as expected.
