Do you have to switch the macerator off to use this product?

I first of all empty the pan into the macerator with a brush by quickly swishing the water away. Then switch off the machine and then pour the cleaner into the pan and swish that through into the macerator. and then add some warm water from a jug then swish that trough. Leave that to react for say 2 hours. Turn on the macerator and then flush the toilet.

Could i use this in my washing machine to clean the smelly flexible pipe? nothing else has worked and cant move the machine. the u bends are clear

No, if it is used on anything else apart from a macerator you risk damage, and at your own risk.

Is macerator cleaner enviromentally safe

No idea, but it made my environment safer by ensuring we continued to have a working toilet.

What else is useful to use alongside this, as in a daily/weekly toilet cleaner?

Yh I would say so this cleaner cleans the internal workings of the macerator so it can work more efficiently and no nasty smells from it, if you don't have a macerator then I wouldn't bother
