I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I had looked at a lot of options, here and at Musicians Freind and other music retail outlets. After comparing features I decided on this one for a starter set. One thing this set offered in comparison to some of the higher rated ones was the MP3 input on the console. And it's compactable. And overall a very sensitive set of Mesh drums with great kit sounds. The cymbals aren't quite as bright as I thought they should be, or rather the High hat wasn't. But all other features were just fine. My nephew didn't want an amp, so, so far have only been able to listen to this through headphones. But for beginners wanting to learn, I would definitely recommend this kit. Pretty quiet with headphones and you can play along with your own music by plugging any type source through the MP3 input. So you won't drive other folks crazy practicing. There was one piece missing, a PVC attachment pole for the console. When I contacted Amazon, they made it right. The kit folds in to itself very easily, and taking up little space when not in use. Which was another big factor in purchasing this drum set. Overall, price, quality, features I give this 5 stars and highly recommend it for beginner drum sets. Or for having a drum kit in your home music studio for laying down tracks without spending big bucks on more well known Mesh head kits when this will really get the job done just fine. Comes with a pair of 5A sticks.

Great beginning rig for my Great grandson. He wanted to try drums .. thought his Mom was gonna pass out. These work great. Lots of different "sets" to choose from and just plug in the headphones and let the little Gene Krupa look alike wail. You won't hear a thing except little "tap tap tap" in the earphones it sounds like he's the Wipe Out kid. Several of us in the family play instruments, we've been around drums. These are pretty dang good for the money. Great for a youngster or his dad. (Yes they work well for grown ups).

These are not a fantastic electronic drum kit. However, it's exactly what you need if you're getting started with drums for the first time, like me.They're not super responsive, especially when going fast. There's not a lot of customization or variety with the kits. But they play, they set up smaller than an acoustic kit, and it's easy to control volume.The first kit I got had a Tom 3 that was noticeably quieter than the rest, so I had to ask for an entire replacement kit - they won't send just one part. This new kit has a kick and snare that were noticeably quieter. So hey between the two I have one full working kit!They do NOT come with headphones, you will need some with a 1/4 inch jack or an amp to hear it.

We wanted an electric drum set that was good for kids and adults and we were so pleasantly surprised that this fit our needs and for an amazing price. My 3 & 6 year olds can play it. But my husband, a music leader, can also play it. The headphones option is phenomenal for children playing for hours on end!Easy to set up. The kids can turn it on themselves to play. Lots of fun different sound kits and songs to play along to. Highly recommend!

Hey I'm torn to be honest. I'm learning drums from scratch on this bad boy and it definitely has its pros and cons. On the one hand I love the different kits, metronome, and tempo settings. I love how easy it is to store it. I love how quick assembly is. I love that I can plug it into an amp or just use my headphones. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that I can plug my phone into it and practice along with some of my favorite jams.BUT here are the cons....Let me start by saying, as a musician, even though I've only been playing the drums for about a month, the first day I could tell this kit would annoy the crap out of an experienced drummer. The sensors are obviously what makes or breaks an electric drum set. Obviously because of the cheaper price I wasn't expecting top quality. I was surprised a bit at just how poor they are. The sensors on the cymbals in particular are not the greatest so it's very difficult to distinguish the dynamics.I'll say this though, as a beginner, who's just looking for a kit to play on to develop muscle memory and limb independence; it gets the job done.

The kit is nicely made sound quality is ok response time could be better. I got one for my son for Christmas. Out of the box the kick drum foot pedal had no sound. Contacted the company they sent a new module. Hooked it up kick drum works but now the high hat does not. I have tried multiple times to contact them again amd get no response. And now my window for a return has closed hoping they respond because cant return it and get my son something else so for now im left with a kit that somewhat works. Its a lot of money to pay for something that does not fully function. And shady for a company to stop talking with you once the return window closes. Buyer beware

My husband got his for a Christmas gift for our six-year-old son. He loves to play the drums and we wanted to get him a drum set that didn't make as much noise due to having neighbors. This is an awesome beginners electrical drum set for kids we wanted to get him something small to teach him responsibility of how to take care of it. The better he gets the bigger the drumset will get but for now this is perfect.

I purchased this set for my husband because I saw him constantly looking at it on amazon. I was a little fearful of it's size, because it's hard to tell how much space it takes because of all the pieces. I was amazed at how little space it actually takes. My husband loves it and I love the fact that he can practice without interrupting my peace.
