Super fast and easy repair!
Great product. Makes repairing a busted irrigation pipe an absolute breeze. So much easier than the traditional screw on types. Downside of course is you only get one shot at the repair, but just do your homework and preparation and you'll be all good.

Fragile?
Taking out a hedge. I got that big stump out near the sprinkler line, avoiding damage. Oops, not so fast. Roots under the line took it out.Saw this product at Home Depot and bought it. Cut the replacement PVC more or less the right length, erring for longer. Cut the pipe with my all-purpose clippers - couplings on "click click." Looks gorgeous. Wow PVC Lock is a great idea!Turned on the water for that patch of grass ... Epic fail. One of the couplings basically dumps the whole line. WTF.Orbit video suggests not "in" enough. That's not it.Then I see an Amazon user review describe see how any rough edges on the PVC jack this device to the limit. Roughly right with rough edges is how I rolled with old plastic couplings but this reportedly requires a gentle touch? Apparently I even need to grease the end to avoid tearing the soft inner ring.So far, it's a great idea with a 50% failure rate. By fail I mean it leaks like it isn't there at all. I'm not giving up. I am trying again as soon as Amazon delivers. I will bring wine and roses if that's what these glue-free couplings need. Will update.
