Good buy for the money. Ignore the negative reviews about WiFi, passwords, or low light (follow my tips to get it to work).
I am writing reviews because of the negatives I am reading. I am only at 24 hours of use, but so far, this is a good Pan/Tilt camera for the money. No zoom function, but does include a rotate fuction (e.g. can adjust lens in all three axes). Not the best resolution or best at anything, but very functional. The main challenge is that the instructions are Chinenglish and are not specific to this camera, so there are a few inaccurate statements in the instructions. A few tips.1. The default password for mine is... the one on the bottom of the camera: admin. Book says it is 123456. Here, vendor says it is blank. Try each of these three.2. If you cannot get the WiFi going, first, check the "using wireless lan" option box in the configuration and click submit. Restart the device. Now you can see wireless networks when you click scan and configure the settings. I use WPA2-PSK Personal (AES) encryption on my routers. WPA may not, and I never trust TKIP for WiFi so I cannot speak to whether these configurations will work. Just change your security settings on your router to these; honestly this is the best encryption for most home users.3. You can configure using a web browser by hitting the ip address of the device on port 81. If you understand these words, then you are encouraged to go this route. This is where I saw the ability to enable the WiFi. If you do not get your wifi working through the app, you must go this route. Login to your router and lookup the ip address which was assigned to the device. Then type [...] into your browser.4. The iphone/android app is called CoolCam.5. The email settings are limited. Rather than fight getting it to work with my server, I used a gmail account and it worked easily.6. Enabling the infrared for use in the dark seems to not work when I use the iphone app. But when I hit the browser interface, this function works fine. I have mine in the attic at the moment. The attic is very dark and I see nothing with the IR off. With it on, it works fine.7. I have been using without a micro-SD so far. Camera is set to detect alarm conditions and push an email. I setup software on my computer to monitor the feed and send alarms using very configurable parameters and a lot of computer processing allocated to evaluating the stream. So far, I think the built-in alarm settings are sufficient for almost anyone (unless you want to create zones for monitoring while excluding other zones).I have used about one dozen different cameras. This one is not the most current technology or the best imaging/lens. I do not expect the best for $35. You do know that the PTZ cameras on the outside of big box stores like Walmart run $2,000+, right?

A great value.
very cool...I had to have my son get it set up for me as I am not well versed in these things, BUT....I have been able to monitor my house while on vacation! I get alerts whenever someone goes in ( even my 'house sitters') and have video surveillance of all activity. Great stuff.

Does what I needed and good for the price.
Easy set up and works fine. Colors are not vibrant but taking it off IR does help some during the day. Can easily turn it on/off for night viewing via the app which took all of 5 minutes to set up. Only giving 4 stars due to color but this was only $50 as compaired to 80-150 so for the price it does what I needed it to. App is easy to use and night vision (B/W) works well.

The picture quality isn't perfect, but at this price and what I wanted ...
For the price I'm more than impressed. The picture quality isn't perfect, but at this price and what I wanted it for it works perfectly fine. I'm using it to check in on our new puppy in her confined area while I'm at work. It's nice to know she isn't really crying all day. Once she's older I can definitely see using it as a security camera!

I do not like the fact that the recommended Apps you need to ...
trouble with connecting with wifi. It connects as long as the cable is plugged in but after set up when the cable is disconnected it doesn't work properly. My friend who has this same camera is having the same problem. Also, I do not like the fact that the recommended Apps you need to download need access to my email, photos, and essentially everything in my smart phone.

The camera itself isn't bad at all
The camera itself isn't bad at all. Of course it's not the highest quality but fort 40 bucks what do you expect. The box didn't come with any instructional manual, you have to go online to set it up but it's easy. If you have an android phone you have to FIRST have an QR/scan app and download the app 'ismartsee-A' for this ismart p2p cloud IP ccvt camera.I had to figure this out on my own, good thing I have some tech knowledge!!! You have to use the cable to plug into your wireless router to set up it up.However once you get this online and can view an image on your phone, back out to where you see the p2p icon and next to it says ismart-A, just below the icon shows the camera click on the down arrow to get the settings, go into setting and click on WIFi setting.. enter your WiFi password and hot DONE.. this is how it goes wireless! Hope this helps,, I'm happy with it! cheap security for your home!!!

Great Camera for Garage - Love It!!!!!!
Received fast, great product!! Got this camera for my garage because I once received a notification that the garage door was open with no way to verify with absolute certainty. This camera works flawlessly and was very easy to setup and get running. It's wireless. Love it!!
