Patient needing swallowing support had an adverse side effect to a different, popular, very expensive brand. Had to make a change, and this has worked easily, successfully. Thickening agent a fairly common, non-irritating type of cornstarch and maltodextrin. No unwelcome side effects. If desired, can mix a larger quantity that keeps well. I used refrigeration. However the provided measuring spoon makes "instant thickening" easy and successful.

I ordered these thickened drinks for my Mom after she had them in the hospital, after her stroke. She loves the nectar tea and nectar apple juice. She is in a Rehab facility right now, and I keep them in the fridge for her. They’re perfect for drinking straight out of the container/cup. They arrived on time and in great shape; would order from this merchant again, thanks!!

I use this product for my Father, who has dysphasia. It’s great because you can use it for nectar thickness or honey thickness.

This product does what it says it will do. Thickens food and drinks as indicated on the product. It does not add to the taste of food, which is great for my elderly mother.

Mom does not like this product. Yes, it thickens whatever you use it in. However, it's supposed to be tasteless and Mom says she doesn't like the taste. Thankfully, she doesn't need this product after all. Wish I had ordered only one instead of two.

This products mixes and dissolves easily in liquids. Does not add any flavor to your drinks.

I use this food thickener at the advice of my husband's physician. It is a tasteless way to thicken his liquids so that he doesn't choke when he eats.It was delivered in a timely manner at no cost, thanks to my Prime membership.

Horrible product, if I could rate it negative stars I would.A family member recently had a stroke and requires all liquids to be thickened. I purchased this product thinking it was similar to the one provided by the hospital. Come to find out all this is is "Modified Food Starch". The product I received has only that one ingredient " Modified Food Starch". The ingredients from the product picture on the page list two ingredients "Modified Corn Starch, Maltrodextrin.Regardless , this product is horrible. I added it to water and it did not thicken it, all I could see was a cloudy mess. I handed it to my poor family member not knowing what this was, only to come back to find out they wouldn't drink it. I can't blame them, who wants to drink a bottle of water and food starch.Amazon has the "Clear DysphagiAide Thickener Powder " which is similar to what were provided by hospital. That works, thickens liquids and does not make a undrinkable starchy mess.
